For those people who are interested in abstract gardening, or interested in this field but lacked the space, time or knowledge in greens in reality - this is the game for you. This game does not have any build-ups or pacing, it definitely fits in the market of casual or social players. You get to design your own flower pot, plant some seedling into your pot and watch your plants grow. You can quit the game right after your watering routine because the game is designed to track the passing of Viridi's time, in real time. You can experiment with different plants, or watering routines. Depending on so, plants may die of parchment or drown with overwatering from it. It's a great game to pass time, background music fits in the game ambience as well. Do get it if you don't feel like playing a real game and just wants to pass time.

The artstyle of this game is abstract and minimalistic. You will know if your plants has flowered, grown from the previous time or needs some water attention. The plants changes its color to slightly brownish to indicate the lack of water, which is a sign beautifully portrayed to inform players.

The design of this game offers you to buy plant seedlings in form of real currency, to keep the revenue of this free game going. It is successful yet broken at the same time, when people could get multiple steam accounts and get the game for free. Players have one free seedling at randomized probability every week, and the seedlings are tradable. With that having said, undoubtably broken but could still generate a good amount of awareness. There is a vacation mode which allow players to freeze time so plants will neither grow nor wither.

Graphics are not intensive, which is a good mix for casual games. I have only spent a couple of hours to date, and I can't seemed to get this game on fullscreen. There is only windowed mode currently, and its debatable if its actually designed on purpose because with the background sounds running at the back, it could actually be more immersive on fullscreen.

Sounds are probably the best part of this game, it has a huge role in synergizing the player's mood and feel in making them feeling relaxed with the pacing of the music. They are also up on steam market for sale as well, if you do support and like the game because of the music - feel free to get it. The loops are short, yet effective for situations like meditation.

Summary: Get this game if you have time to kill. This free-to-play casual game really helps you to handle stress effectively in my opinion. The game have achievements on steam which is really easy to complete if you trade the seedlings often. Other than the lack of fullscreen, this game has nothing to be criticized on. It's simple and fun for casual gamers.
