First Elder Scrolls and it'll always hold my heart for that. Shivering Isles is fantastic and is the most memorable bit in an elder scrolls game outside of some bits of Morrowind.

It's Peggle. If you liked the first Peggle, then this is just more of the same, just more levels basically. Feels like an expansion pack for the original, which could be an upside or a downside depending on viewpoint.

Insert obligatory joke about Pegging at Night here

While it's got it's own quirks and issues, I will say that this game is the game to get me fully into playing this sort of top-down rpg. I've tried to play Baldur's Gate 1 and Fallout 1 before, but it hadn't clicked until I played this game and now I'm going back and playing all the older titles I'd skipped out on. So that's gotta mean something, right?

I'm also not the best at games, rather terrible at them actually, and I do like how customizable the difficulty is. Though I've heard that your mileage may vary if you are going for the harder difficulties because of AC bloat.

8/10 would barony again

I like a lot of the changes so far, to be honest. Still getting used to the fighting mechanics but I'm very Bad At Video Games lol so that's not a mark of bad on the part of YIIK. I love how fun the Karta system is tbh, I can see a lot of opportunity for complex strategies and it seems a lot more engaging than the old system, especially end-game.

I love that Alex's monologues are re-contextualized as an open-mike night, and I feel like this demo / chapter one does a WAY better job contextualizing the idea that Alex is a hugely unreliable narrator via the added animations. That was a thing in the original, but its a bit more blatant here in a way I like. I also like the doubling-down on a lot of the more surreal scenes, I felt like that was a strong suit of the original and I'm glad to see more of it.

All in all, regardless of how this update goes, I applaud the studio for sticking with it and trying to make it better. It's clear that despite everything, this was and is a passion project, and I wish them all the best in making YIIK the best it can be.

Ignore my hours on Steam here; It's only recently I moved to using the Steam client. Used to play this game back in 2007 and 2 years ago I got back into playing it with my boyfriend.

Thank you so much for the Pride event. It was really well written and lovely, and with a rise in people being outright bigoted and hateful and companies being forced to pull out of Pride events because of harassment and death threats, it was nice to see Jagex stand their ground here. Plus, the items given as rewards for the past few pride events have been super lovely- and I like that you can change out the colors freely.

I also love the recent quality of life changes, stuff I would have loved back in the 2000s but now it's here and helpful. Stuff like showing the money something is worth on the Grand Exchange as you examine them, and a loading wheel for when trees respawn. The changes to woodcutting look fantastic and I can't wait for that.

2024 update: The updates have been wonderful! Been loving Leagues so far :3

I refunded this game. the gameplay and roleplay aspects are so god awful and it has a pretty predatory monetization scheme for a game you have to pay up-front for.

Just play one of the singleplayer Fallout games if you want to play a Fallout.

If you want multiplayer Fallout, the mod Fallout New Vegas Multiplayer is a better option.

I only really come back to this game for the base building and terrific modding scene.

Edit: Fallout London :)
