I gotta say, I didn't think I'd enjoy Shadows of Doubt as much as I did. The art style is basic blocks but it brings a certain charm to the overall world and characters. It didn't take long until I was turned into the Charlie Day meme with my pin board being filled with information about possible suspects to a murder. There are several different ways to solve cases which brings a good variety to the game. I definitely recommend this game for anyone who enjoys solving murder mysteries, playing detective, or stealth style games.

PROS:
- The art style is basic blocks, but it brings a certain charm to the game.
- Random Generated murders bring a semi-fresh take each time you take a case.
- Every NPC is assigned unique DNA and backstory which makes the world feel larger than it is.
- DEVS have been actively updating and adding new features.
- Scratches the murder mystery itch.

CONS:
- As of right now, there are only a limited number of murder "styles". I'd like to see more variety when it comes to backstories and alibis. It would be cool to even sometimes have serial killers.
- Needs more variety of buildings (apartments, restaurants, bars, etc.) or maybe even a underground area.

I must say that this game came as a surprise to me as I've been eyeing Teardown for quite some time. The thought of a game that has complete destruction very much interested me. BUT.. Teardown is so much more than madly driving your truck through the walls of the Evertide mall with canisters of Nitroglycerin strapped to the back. As of the recent big 1.0 update, there is now an active campaign that tests your abilities to achieve difficult tasks (usually under the pressure of a 60 second timer). I'm a huge fan of speed running in video games and Teardown applies a whole new element of speed running by allowing you to mold the world around you. You'll find creative ways to cut seconds off your best time by using the tools you gain and upgrade through the campaign giving the game a sense of progression.

PROS:
- Almost complete level destruction.
- Beautiful environments. I was blown away when I first launched the game.
- Fun and interesting campaign.
- Scratches that speed runners itch.
- Progressive levels.. meaning if your mission is to blow up a food court at a mall, then the next mission at that mall might have a hazard zone or construction vehicles in the area.
- Active community workshop.

CONS:
- I'd imagine the game is graphics heavy, so I'd recommend not purchasing unless you have a decent PC. (I'm using a GTX 1660 Super / Ryzen 5 3600XT / 16gb of Ram and I had hardly any frame issues)
- I personally don't like the save system. You can only overwrite quick saves during missions which is annoying if you accidentally overwrite your previous save.
- Not really a CON, but I'd recommend not getting this game if you are NOT a patient gamer. Some later missions can take you over an hour of planning and you will be loading previous saves in order to complete the level.

11/10 Recommend.

Played this game in early access and it was solid even before the 1.0v release. The game has only gotten better!

Good lord, am I disappointed in this game..

I've tried several times to like this game. I have given it chance after chance until it's now officially unplayable due to the game crashing to desktop without any warning at the same part of the story every time. I really was looking forward to playing OuterWorlds as I am a huge fan of Obsidian's Fallout NV (which could honestly be my fault to compare the two), but this game was just a complete let down. Even if it wasn't for constant game-breaking crashes, the amount of times I've gotten stuck/glitched on an object and forced to reload is insane for a game that has won so many awards and currently has very positive reviews on steam. Aside from the bugs, the gameplay just felt like a lazy mix of Fallout and Borderlands to me.

Cons:
- The game has crashed to desktop without warning several times.
- The difficulty Supernova is unplayable due to it the crashing or getting stuck on objects. You can't save manually in Supernova so If either happens then you've lost any forward progress that wasn't auto-saved.
- The AI companions are dumb as rocks. Also, if you shoot a single enemy within a group then the entire enemy group becomes alerted exactly where you are regardless if they are in different rooms or buildings.
- The gameplay is very linear. After playing about 5-6 hours, you've pretty much seen it all aside from some enemies with special abilities or more health.

Pros:
- The different dialogue options and voice acting is done very well.
- The weapons are diverse enough to keep the game somewhat interesting.
- The story line was okay. What keeps the game entertaining are the different choices you can make between factions.

If I were to rate my overall experience with OutWorlds: 4/10
Let me end with this: I bought OutWorlds 50% off and I'd refund if I could. Very disappointed.

I really wanted to enjoy this game but in its current state I feel like it lacks replayability. I loved the concept and the mechanics of how you fight in a physics-based world but there are some things that just felt clunky to me. For instance, movement while you're in battle-stance is frustrating to say the least. It feels like your driving a tank at times. The game has potential and a lot going for it but I'm gonna have to pass with how it currently is. I may retry again in the future if more gets added.

I gotta say, I was skeptical when I bought this game at first but it has really grown on me. The whole concept of how each players choice can effect the overall environment of the planet is what intrigued me and I must say the devs did a fantastic job pursuing the idea of how environmental choices matter. I'm currently playing a 2-player Co-op playthrough so my review isn't based on the larger scale multiplayer.

The gameplay is like a environmental cautious, modern minecraft with an advanced tech-tree on crack. Everything in ECO requires real life time to process, so that being said you can easily lose track of your hours played. The overall goal of the game is to advance your technology enough to destroy an incoming meteorite within 30 real life days. So having friends or more players will definitely help advance yourself faster as they can choose other technologies to follow. More often than not, you'll have to rely on other players advancing their skill-trees which makes ECO a very community oriented game. I wouldn't recommend ECO as a single player game unless you prefer to spend literal days to do anything.

Pros:
- Choices really do matter in ECO.
- Has a decent variety of different skill trees to keep you interested.
- Graphics have a relaxing/toony feel.
- Itches my grind/time-progression needs.

Cons:
- I wish there was a little more to do with the Animals (Breeding, farming, Husbandry, etc)
- More mod support! This game could have endless possibilities.

100% Recommend this game.
Easily one of the best rouge-like/card games out there. It's simple, addicting, fun (and frustrating).
You'll find yourself starting over again and again while trying to build the craziest card combinations in hopes that you'll build something nutty enough to beat the final boss.

Pros:
The game is simple enough to pick up fast. The deckbuilding is what adds complexity.
The rouge-like aspect makes sure that not a single playthrough is the same.
The cardbuilding is addicting.

Cons:
I've played countless hours and play throughs. I guess it's not really a con, but I'd love to see more cards or characters in the near future. Good job devs!

How do I explain Day of Infamy...?

Okay, so it's like a young, beautiful Day of Defeat who is looking for her better half in a crowd of everyday casual games. She's tired of all the same games promising that next time will be better and is thinking of just quitting the gaming scene for good. She waits patiently for something to carry on her legacy...

ALL OF A SUDDEN, the front door gets kicked in with an outburst of male yelling, gun fire, and explosions. Within the dramtic commotion, you can slightly make out the muffled words, "allahu akbar". Who is this bold game that just kicked in the front door without any worry of consequence? This game was called Insurgency.

As soon as Day of Defeat and Insurgency met eyes in that same smoke filled room, they knew there was something special between them. A feeling of something new, yet still being able to be themselves. As the years passed on, lovers do what lovers do and they conceived a child in which they named Day of Infamy..

10/10 Still a better love story than Twilight.
P.S. I NEED A RADIO OVER HERE

I've played RimWorld since Alpha 7 (It's now currently on Alpha 14). I've seen this game take shape through the hard work of the devs and the beyond supportive community. It has everything you could possible want from a base building/micro-management/survival style of a game. Here's my take on the game if you're on the fence on buying it:

The end game consists of you trying to survive long enough to build a spaceship to get your colony off of the planet you crash landed on. Along the way you'll have obstacles like diseases, wild animal attacks, pirate raids, solar flares that hinder your power, storms that destroy your entire harvest, and tons more. There are endless possibilites on what can happen at any moment which creates this constant fearful mindset: "Will I be ready for it?" Well odds are you won't be. I've never had the same experience twice in this dynamic game (And future mods developed by the community will continue to keep RimWorld refreshing).

On top of all the crazy dynamic events, every single colonist has special traits and passions that make them effective towards certain tasks, such as hunting, cooking, growing crops, crafting, mining, etc.. As you grind these tasks the colonist grow in levels which then allows them to produce better quailty work. But just like life, everyone will have a weakness alongside their strengths. For example, there are negative traits that will effect a colonist such as cannibalism, being a nudist, the need for bioinic body parts, greed, being anti-social.. Both the stengths and weakness' will effect the way you play out the situations thrown at you.

If you love survival games with a challange, I'd recommend this game 100%..

This standalone is seriously incredible. It's come a long way since the mod, but it only got better. Best way to explain this game: It's as if Red Orchestra had a baby with Call of Duty.... and then that baby hung out with Battlefield. That is this game. One of the best FPS games out there currently and I highly recommend it. Keep this game alive, these developers deserve it. 11/10
