Performance:
A very tough game to run even on a modern system. The graphics might not look beautiful right off but they're surprisingly realistic, especially in the changing of ambient light as you walk around, as well as the material quality.
Don't expect to get 100fps everywhere, and you might need to enable FSR to reach a 60fps target as of this review.
I highly recommend turning shadows down from Ultra to Medium regardless of hardware, as even my 7900 XTX struggles to maintain 60 at times at 1440p native.

Gameplay:
mechanics itself will be very familiar if you've played a previous Bethesda title. This one is just set in space!
You'll be picking up side-quests everywhere to start with in cities, from little background conversations. These are very natural discussions happening all the time in the game. Sadly, they will end up getting spoken over quest dialogue.

Shipbuilding:
Pretty good, hopefully going too get some updates.
Upgrade, re-arrange, add some cosmetics, re-colour, etc.

Quests:
I've had more fun on the side-quests than main story, but there are plenty of long side-quests to play.
The main story, unless you read spoilers, will have you scratching your head for a while as to what's happening - in a good way.

Lore:
Plenty of it, enough to keep Oxhorn busy. I don't want to provide any spoilers, but there are a lot of factions at play each with their own history and cultures.

Combat:
No VATs but otherwise the best parts of Fallout 4 and Fallout 76. No weapon repairs, instead you just mod to your heart's content. Though this time there's multiple loot raries and special effects on rare weapons.

Lockpicking:
It's more like Fallout 4's terminal hacking than its lockpicking, which is to say it's an actual puzzle. There's a little randomness to it but it's mostly skill and experience.

Player customisation:
Great! Body shape, face, piercings, tattoos, dirt, and plenty more. It all works really well in the game too, people look very natural regardless of what you change. And you could spend a full hour customising!

And finally, voice acting:
seems better than Fallout 4, voices sound rather natural overall across the game. And the voice actors seem to be very diverse, with accents from across the globe. I've had a hard time just tracking down what area of Europe some of the accents originate, and I think I even heard a British/German mix at some point? This is the age of humanity in space and not a game set in the U.S. like Fallout, and it shows incredibly well here.

Is it worth £60? Yeah I do think so, judging by my binge gaming this past week and ~55 hours of playtime. A better buy than Fallout 76 to me. I did however get mine bundled with a hardware purchase, just to be entirely clear.
