Early Access Review
A completely open world where you can lord around as you please. I'd recommend this to anyone wanting to experience a genuine RPG with loads of time-dumping put into it.

Early Access Review
Still in early access, a lot has to happen to this game still. Nevertheless, the Version that is online at the moment is a solid taste for things to come and i would recommend this to anyone looking for an immersive, realistic, and strategic first person shooter.

Edit: It's been a long while and I've played every major version of this game as it went through development. I respect the developer's choices for removing some maps or game modes to better tell the story they want to tell.

What I do not understand, however, is how the A.I. still feels janky beyond belief. Suspects not responding to shouts, pathing issues in commander mode, and now suddenly this censorship shortly before the game being released on console.

The game, to me, feels less finished in it's current state than in some early access versions. Would I recommend it then? Yes! Would i recommend it now? Not really. Replay value is not there anymore since different modes within a mission have been removed. S ranking a level doesn't really feel rewarding as you always need to kind of cheese your way through it alongside a good bit of luck.

After playing through all the levels, the game ends there. I'm hopeful that future content can expand this game beyond its current scaffolding.

I am going to be blunt about this.

No i don't have alot of hours into this game but that is because this game is just blatantly boring to me. No i did not expect a warband game when i bought this in early access.

It is a nice concept with alot of good ideas but the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around with the engine just makes things slower and there isn't anything to do except just go after pirates and follow the main questline.

After playing this after release and still passing by lines of code passing on my screen, i decided to quit playing this game forever and write this review.

Maybe somewhere in the future this game will get better, but the main problem here is that the developers should have taken more time before even releasing this because this game is still in beta in my opinion.

I recommend you don't buy this game untill somewhere halfway next year. Then come and see if The Creative Assembly has done anything to majorly improve this game from release and then you can consider it yourself, but for those who pre-ordered it just like i did. Ouch... me too.

Edit 1: This game has had some major improvements over time including siege ai and performance. By now i think it would be fair to say you can check this game out if you are interested. The only major thing that still has to be improved is politics, wich should be much more important in the game centered around Rome, but alas, it isn't as of now.
