Long story short, Take-2 is a parasitic cancer sucking the life out of every property they own. The world would be an objectively better place if they didn't exist. I wish them nothing but the worst.

It's exactly what it looks like, play it if it looks like fun.

After playing this and Mouthwashing back to back I think the secret to good writing is to make sure the next scene chronologically is NEVER the next scene in gameplay.

This game is 170 Megabytes. 70 of those are for the executable, another 80 for the music.

Never thought a city-building rouge-like would work, but think of it this way: How many games of civilization have you started and then never finished? City builders are at their most fun at the start, when you're constantly making decisions and it's feasible to micro-manage everything. This game distills that feeling into every city by only making you stay with them for about an hour each. It may sound weird, but I implore you to give it a shot.

Never played a game before where your skill level depends on how hard you vibe with the music. Thankfully, the OST bumps harder than I assumed was legally allowed.

With no exaggeration, this is one of the best games I've ever played. Have you ever read "Vermis"? It's a manual for a game that does not exist. Its nature as secondary media makes the act of reading it incredibly interpretive. Tunic uses this concept to create a gripping puzzlebox of an old game with an incomplete manual that you can barely read. Do you remember playground rumors? The "Mew under the truck" and "Unlocking sonic in melee" types? Tunic made from those bits of folklore. And on top of all of that, it manages to be a rock-solid top-down souls-like, complete with shortcuts, bosses, the works. I implore you, just let this game happen to you. It's up there with Outer Wilds as the most impactful experiences I've had in this medium.

We don't have enough incremental games that DON'T take over your life. 2 hours of chill numbers going up is just enough to be fun and avoid becoming a chore. Fun time!
