Memorable characters.
Simple story.
A unique combat mechanic system.
References to other nostalgic moments you may have experienced from games you grew up with.
Fun, challenging, humorous, quirky.

If you can tolerate retro-styled games with an NES or SNES look and feel to it--
If you want to try out something new, but you don't know exactly what you're looking for--
If you're not into video games as much anymore--

Or for whichever reason it may be, to the point where I can't stress this enough: Give this game a try.

Become a warden to run your own prison and enslave all prisoners to do your bidding for all eternity.. Mua ha ha ha ha!

If there's one complaint I have about the game, it's the pricing. I don't feel comfortable paying 30 bucks for a game in Early Access, or even just by looking at the game itself (and from several reviews). I'd say get this game when the price has dropped below $15. Then at those varied priced, it's definitely worth your money if you're into building and running your own prison.

Money well-spent.
