Runs perfectly well on both my Top of the line 11th gen i7 with RTX 3090 as well as my laptop with 9th gen i7 and RTX2070 Max-Q. So, seriously, don't give the game a negative review if it doesn't work on the piece of ♥♥♥♥ you begged your mother to buy you. It looks poorly on you to ♥♥♥♥♥ when you're hardware isn't up to snuff. And even if there are some optimization issues, this is normal for any release. It's been out 24 hours. Cool your jets cancel culture kids.

TLDR Version. 9/10 Amazing game, only complaint being 30FPS lock at launch(But doesn't look unsmooth) but will probably be patched. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Player feedback in the history of a title launch.

I decided to read some reviews before buying this game the day before launch. I had been excited about this game since it's sneak peaks at game conventions. What I was confronted with when I clicked on the Reviews tab was unprecedented. The sheer amount of vitriole toward a game and it's developers when that game was both functional and mostly bug free upon its launch was disgusting. Especially considering the launch failures that have occurred during this year, 2016. I would go as far as to say if you were one of these a s s h a t s who wrote angry or threatening letters to steam, the developers, etc. You should be absolutely ashamed of yourself. Shaming the great unclean that would sling ♥♥♥♥ out of their fingers tips is over, Let's get to the nitty gritty of the game.

+Accurate Representation of faux New Orleans in 1968
+Graphics are impecable, Faces and textures are beautiful, animations are amazing. (With the exception of 30FPS framerate cap)
+Soundtrack is AMAZING. From the very first second the game loads up, the music of the late fifties all the way through the late sixties comes pouring through at the highest quality, and the atmospheric music blends seemlessly.
+Voice acting is of excellent quality
+Cinematography is amazing. Movie Quality
+Story is absolutely compelling and the characters immediately suck you in.
+Immersion potential is FANTASTIC.
+ Boobies
+Great CPU/GPU Optimization

Conclusion

9/10 Worth EVERY Penny for the sountrack ALONE. I Love this game and was instantly immersed. Don't listen to the haters. This game is awesome.

Multiplayer is absolutely unplayable. I never even got to try the game. No players. No Lobbies. Not even an option menu with volume controls. I wrote a letter to steam asking them to remove this game so no one else would ever be subjected to this refund simulator, and was going to leave it at that. However, this just appeared in my exploratory queue which is totally unacceptable. -9001/10 Wouldn't piss on the developer if they were on fire.

Utter Garbage.

One of the best Science Fiction Horror games on the planet. I'm one of the people who absolutely loved it. The visuals were incredible. The sound was spot on for atmosphere... and the story. Wow. Its existential crisis of what it means to be human, what constitutes humanity, what is humane? What is torture? It is chilling to the bone in those regards. The only complaint I have is that 2 of the monsters' AI were clumsy and lumbering as they were in the Dark Descent. Overall I would give it an A-. Straight up. I cannot wait to see what comes from Frictional next to be quite honest.

Reasons you wouldn't enjoy it :

If you thought this was in any way tied into the Amnesia : The Dark Descent mythos and bought it without doing any research, you may have not enjoyed this title.

What can I say about this game? ...A definitive psychological thriller, with a flare of japanese horror themes, and a whopping dollop of gore and thousands of gallons of blood.
