The Padre is a decent horror/puzzle game, with solid voice acting, and a refreshing return to gothic horror themes, which is not commonly seen in most modern horror games. However it does currently suffer from occasionally low quality cutscenes, especially early on in the game, and an odd mobile-like design for the UI, as well as an over-reliance on third-party references and easter eggs, in place of a stronger focus on its own original story.

Given its status as an early access game, it is very likely these issues could be addressed at some point down the road during the early access period, but they are worth mentioning.

The developer does seem passionate about their work on the game, so I am very hopeful for the future of The Padre, and cautiously recommend it as a game to invest in now, as community support is what will help games like The Padre evolve and improve over time.
