This game is in Open Beta and yet it has:

A PVE campaign that serves as a tutorial and introduction to its world and lore.
2v2 Constructed.
Ranked PVP Constructed.
Casual PVP Constructed.
PVE Constructed.
PVE Draft.
PVP Draft.
Cross-platform play that includes PC, Mac, Android, iOS, and even web browsers using HTML5.
A Puzzle gauntlet that gives you a glimpse into how convoluted a turn and win can be in this game.
A rotation of 2 Featured Decks pulled from a community pool of 32 twice a week that you can play without having to own the cards in ranked or wherever you wish.
The ability to view any profile (unless the player sets it to private) which allows you to view their playtime, collection and even match history.
The ability to spectate any match live or replay it later.
Helpful UI touches which include a deck tracker for you and your opponent and also a log of all plays made.

The amount of features surpasses many CCG's that have been already released for years and it is still in open beta. On top of that, it is a rock-solid CCG with mechanics that promote player agency and eliminate troubled mechanics from previous games like land screw or flood. I heartily recommend this game to anyone even slightly interested in the genre.

Ignore the P2W complaints. It's mostly people who don't want to spend any money to support developers who obviously deserve it. Yes, the grind is real if you plan to play this completely free. On the other hand, this game has depth to keep you playing for many years so you may not even notice it if you are a true casual.

This is a collectible deck builder game with an onus on upgrading cards to reduce their costs. Since you only get one card per pack, it can take a while to truly maximize your killer deck. However, it's a deck-builder game with a max deck size of 10 cards not counting the Hero or coins. It's got a rudimentary PVE campaign and you can even play against AI if you don't want to pit your unoptimized deck against the "P2W" sharks. Try it. It's free.

Just finished this epic game. I just want to thank everyone involved in making this game for such a singular, unique, and heartwarming experience.

As for a review - screw it. This game transcends meta scores and hot takes.

The best point and click adventure game series in recent memory. Get this if you are even remotely interested in the genre.

First the Cons:

1) Sound Design is almost non-existent. Spotty voice acting in both quantity and quality (seriously, what is up with the choice for the male protagonist voice?). If they can ever get their sound, VA, and music to match everything else in this game, we have the makings of a true classic here.
2) The end-game mission can totally blindside you in the resources you will need to grind for. I don't want to spoil anything but it's a resource that is hardly ever used and will be a pain to farm for unless you were lucky enough to set things up because you might need them someday. Had to reload an earlier save to prepare so it wouldn't be so onerous.

Now the Pros:
1) Immersive crafting/farming/social game in the vein of Stardew Valley. I guess. I have Stardew Valley and really wanted to like it but could never get into it.
2) Addictive gameplay loop that really makes you want to keep playing because there's never enough time to do everything you want in each day.
3) Great gameplay systems which build on each other and awesome quality of life improvements.
4) The world and its inhabitants are just so perfectly presented that I really do stand by my opinion that if they ever get their sound issues sorted this could be a true classic.
5) If you are the same type of individual as me that wants to keep achieving things in a game, this will really hook you. I kept playing even after the credits rolled because there were still some things I wanted to achieve before ending my run. Even now after I have uninstalled the game, I keep thinking I should re-install just to do everything I still wanted to do before I ended it.

Just finished this game and have absolutely no qualms recommending this game to anyone and everyone. Had a bit of trouble with the combat until I remembered I could block attacks and started listening to what the voices were telling me to do. It's an absolutely brilliant game from start to finish.

Ninja Theory, you have my full attention now.

This game has been on my wishlist ever since I heard of the premise and especially after seeing the documentary on the making of this game. My only concerns were that some reviews said it was basically a mobile game and was best played on mobile.

These concerns almost made me skip the recent Humble Bundle middle tier it was in but I took a leap of faith and I am so glad that I did. I know the mobile version is probably good since Butterscotch is primarily a mobile developer but the PC version is top-notch as well. It works great with both K&M and controller and looks glorious on my 4K 42" monitor.

This is not a roguelike survival craft-em-up. Rather, it is a RPG-lite craft-em-up with quests and a storyline. You probably won't get as much replayability with it as much as those roguelike survival games, but I tend to drop those games after the first death or so. Not so with this one. The structured quests are always driving me towards my next goal instead of pottering around aimlessly.

Crashlands - the game I would also be proud of if it was the last game I ever created.

Looking at gameplay videos, I was going to lambaste this as an obvious rip-off of one of my all-time favorite games, Dream Quest. But looking closely at the store page, I saw this: "Inspired by the much-loved deck-building RPG, Dream Quest, created by Peter Whalen (Hearthstone)".

Lambasting avoided, I bought this game day 1 because I love me some Dream Quest and a prettier, newer version of DQ is okay by me. A couple of playthroughs and I'm feeling right at home.

Unlike this game's developers, I do update my reviews once in a while.

Stay away if you are thinking of trying this game. Go play MTG Arena instead. The development in this game has ground to a halt and no communication about future updates have been forthcoming. RIP Hex: Shards of Fate and its once-bright future.

Very disappointing. After finishing and enjoying all the previous Arkham games (yes, even Arkham Origins), I will not be finishing this one. The PC port runs like a dog on my GTX 970 system. I will not be buying any more Arkham games in the future after this debacle.
