A great way to faithfully adapt Lovecraft, hopefully we see some more like this in the future!

This game is one of my favourite MP games. Its core systems are very simple but recreate ancient battles refreshingly well, whilst still leaving plenty of room for creativity. The (optional) hotseat style of multiplayer is also surprisingly efficient and fun. I usually run about 4 games at once and just do a turn or two of each one per day. Even if I generally only play for an hour at most per day, this is a game I have consistently come back to almost everyday since I got it.

It is rare that I find this little immersion in a game, especially of a franchise I love. Very dissapointed.

Edit: Have given this game a second go since the latest patch, and it is fun. The patch made some well needed improvements to the worth of infantry. Also the casual nature does makes it a decent time-killer between work or assignments.
But would I reccomend this at full-price? No.
One sale? Depends how cheap, but if you can justify the price go ahead.

This is one of the best RPGs I have ever played, with old-school RPG and combat mechanics made modern enough to be enjoyed by newcomer to isometric-RPGs whilst a hell of a lot of fun for those who've always liked the genre. With the various graphical and story additions as well as full voice-acting and new classes make this a must buy game for old-school RPG fans and newcomers alike.

Great art, great lore, great gameplay. For fans of lore-heavy, story-driven CRPGs this is a must get. For those who don't enjoy lots of stats and reading this is probably not your thing - maybe consider a sale?
Most criticisms have been patched out as of this review. Only remaining criticism is that the first act is kind of slow and unfocused - but pass that and the game just gets better and better.

This game is a great multiplayer experience, the campaign is more of an added feature (albeit a pretty decently done added feature).

I am sorry to everyone that I forgot to reccomend this sooner. This game is amazing, simple as that.

Only shooter I have bought and not regretted in ages.

Originally I couldn't play this without it crashing (it seems some of the filters, effects, etc were messing with my graphics card). But once I passed that hurdle I have enjoyed every moment since. Great game, worth the tinkering it took to make it work.

So heaps of people say that it doesn't have controller support. Firstly that's wrong, BUT there are 2 issues.
1)Controllers need to be plugged in before starting the game or they don't work. I assume this is why many think it doesn't work.
2)Controllers need to manually have their buttons assigned in the menu for players 1 and 2. This oly has to be done once.

All that aside; this game has become an obsession for me as of late and am eagerly awaiting buying the other warriors games available on PC, and would reccomend others follow suit.
Lastly; to those that complain about the dlc, they are entirely optional, there is plenty of content in the main campaigns and free mode. DLC primarily adds costumes and very occasionally anything worthwhile.
