If you take every piece of this game individually it is an amazing classic JRPG and it should be everything I'm looking for. There is something about this that makes me keep falling off of it when I try to play.

I'm going to say Yes for a recommendation if you like this game but to me it feels a bit soulless. It could be someone else's jam though and it is in no way a bad game.

This seems very cool but the game keeps crashing. It also doesn't have achievements.

Sure it has some problems but if you just like putzing around with lots of map markers to clear and upgrades to grind out you'll like it.

This was my first foray into the Star Ocean series and I really enjoyed it.

The crafting system is very in-depth and there are more side-quests to shake a stick at if you just want to grind through some fetch style quests. Sometimes they aren't a bad thing.

If you like anime, JRPGs, space opera then this is a great game for you.
