Very fun game, but lots of game breaking bugs and they claim it's ready for 1.0
Sounds like they've given up

I'm one of the idiots unlucky enough to come back to the game after years away from it during the economy changes.
Immediately put me off after a couple days of getting what felt like no where.
I guess they reverted the changes, but I find the World Of [Tanks/WS/WP] series so much nicer of a grind so I guess I won't be coming back.

An important business lesson I have learned is: A customer may come back a second time after feeling pushed away once, but they will never come back a third time if they feel pushed away a third.

*Top Edit for funsies* On my 3rd controller now. Numba 2 had the same button die RIP

Between the build quality and dealing with the return services... Don't waste your time..

This is coming from someone who absolutely is a believer in the concept behind this device.
I mostly used this controller for rocket leauge. I got so used to it that I can't go back. It's just not the same game.
Having the extra set of buttons as the paddles on the backside of the controller are irreplaceable.

I've never dropped, thrown, or anything remotely damaging to this device.
To be completely honest. I'm a little guy, so even if I wanted to be aggressive the execution just isn't there.

In the middle of a rocket leauge session about six games in, all of a sudden my left bumper was stuck in the pressed position and refused to return to neutral position. I was pretty bummed because I had grown pretty attacthed to using this device. I figured since it was one of the very first generation of controllers from the manufacturer that maybe I had been given a defective one. So I began the return process with the hope that if i goes rather smoothly I'd buy another steam controller to keep in my closet as a rotational device.

It has been a month since the controller has left my hands at FedEx and steam tickets doesn't even help me find out if they received it or not. The ticket is going on 3 days old.

If you're a little harder on your hardware than a frail patient pothead... then don't buy this product unless you're willing to wait and wait and waaaaaaaait for your return to manufacturer process to go through.

Steam will NOT treat this issue as a priority. So buyer beware!

EDIT: Found out via my FedEx shipping label that they delievered my controller 20 days ago as of this review. That sums it up better than I could on my own

Edit Numba Tew!

An excerpt from my love notes with Steam Customer Service:

"Should be a simple inquiry within your company. Did you receive my FedEx shipment or not? If more information is needed I'd be more than happy to provide it.

Otherwise you can keep the replacement controller when you receive it and I'll spend my money on hardware provided by a company who cares more about the consumer. It has been about a month since it has left my hands. I work for a retail chain that does online orders and returns. If a warranty covered return crossed my desk and the consumer was out time spent with their purchase for this long.. Well, I wouldn't have a job anymore.

I guess some companies forget that loyalty is their life blood and my eight years spent with steam isn't even worth a simple question answered.

Looking back at my two prior ticket submissions throughout the years I have noticed NOT ONCE have I had a ticket addressed thoroughly. Let alone have the tickets been addressed with a personable response.

I've never complained once about the poor customer service I've received, but you're 0/3 now. "

"Nevermind. You have had it for 20 days.

If their were a way to get my money back and never give steam another dime, I would.

I guess I'll have to settle with never giving another dime.

Steam is following Comcast's example for customer service standards.

Pathetic. PATHETIC."

"We apologize for the delay - we have sent out a replacement order for your new Controller at this time.

You will receive an automatic email with tracking information once the order has shipped.

If you have any further difficulty, please let us know - we will be happy to assist you."

Nothing but templated responses.
Gotta love when companies get too big for their own xD
