Actually, this is not a grand strategy game, but rather an RPG.

When you are about eighty, when your face represents a bloody scar from cancer, when all your kids and your dear husband have deceased in the war or of sickness, even your only friend with whom you were used to play chess has passed away, and when nobody believes that you are able to last another year, but quite the contrary, they begin to reach out their paws for your titles and your collection of pictures, which you have been gathering your whole life –

all of a sudden you start writing poetry, retire more and more often to your chamber lost in prayers and reading the Bible, that remained from your father to whom you owe literally everything, and then you catch your second wind, go to victorious war against nearby empire and conquer its capital, undertake a succession law reform on a surge of popular jubilation and become a true leader of the boiling, transforming society;

and once during the night walk in the distant abandoned corners of your garden you face a cheeky kitten going to become your new and last friend.
