As most of the other reviews have stated if you like Warframe, or Destiny 1 or 2 then you will probably enjoy this game. If you do just the normal mode, and grind out a few weps and descendants you'll get 40-50 hours at minimum in. And those hours will be full of action packed floaty shooty mcbang bangs. Combat feels fun and fresh. Gunplay feels nice, and there's a good variety of guns. "Ultimate" guns have special abilities but have to be farmed and then crafted. Epic weapons drop from enemies and missions. They tend to have more raw damage than Ultimates but no special abilities.

Micro transactions while expensive, seem pretty fair. It's a PvE game with no PvP and from what I understand there will never be PvP. So no Pay 2 Win, just Pay 2 Go Fast. Or Pay 2 Play the Descendant you want *right now*.

So far the grind has felt fair. There were a few times I got stuck on an item, but many many more times where I got it in 1-10 runs. Maybe an hour or 2. Each thing I've crafted has taken on average ~5-6 hours of grind. With 1 outlier of like 10-12 hours.

There's a huge player-base, and it's cross-play. It has a very active community with plenty of build and farming guides. Though I would give it some more time before those guide become set in any kind of stone as players are still trying to figure the game out.

And finally, NEXON of all game companies is actually listening. If you go check the updates from the Store Page you can scroll through the last 2 hot fixes and see that not only are we getting Developer Commentary on changes, we're also hearing directly from the Game Director himself. AND on top of ALL THAT, they are making changes in favor of community ideas rather than shoehorning the player base into playing the game the way Nexon wants it played. As well as avoiding the insane micro transactions of their past games. I truly believe that if Nexon keeps this up TFD will last for many years to come.

In conclusion, it's free. Just download the dang thing and play it for a couple hours. If ya hate it, come write a review saying mine is wrong and why. If ya love it, well look at you. Ya found a new game to play! We should support Game Companies changing the way Nexon appears to be. More could and will follow in their shoes.

A great game, with wonderful graphics. Especially for when it was released. It's another one of Valve's many masterpieces. One which thus far has brought me much enjoyment, and a little bit of mind bending. The puzzles are very good, and can require some out of the box thinking for a few of them.

PROS:

+ Great Graphics for 2011, and for now honestly.

+ Gameplay is sublime, easy to learn, difficult to master. The way games should be.

+ Comical, there are some pretty funny moments with dialogue, that start within your first 5 minutes. I got a few laughs out of it for sure.

+ Pretty solid length for a Puzzle-Platform game. I've not quite finished yet, and it's got what seems to be good "replayability" basically beating friend's times, and the like.

+ It has Co-Op, with a MM system as well. So if you don't have a friend to play with it will find you one. Very cool.

+ User Generated Level Creater, or UGLC for short. Which is connect to the Workshop. I haven't tried many out, but they seem pretty well done and are fun to play.

CONS:

- Weird stuttering on many levels. (Might be intentional but I can't tell, and it's very annoying.)

- Camera changes angles when you go through a portal. (Minor gripe, and is probably a gameplay 'feature' but gives me a headache and can make some levels frustraiting.)

Overall: 9.5/10 - Must Own

Great game with a pretty average length story line. Doing plenty of side missions, and grabbing some collectables along with spending time just going through stongholds commiting Genocide of the Uruk race, I beat the game in the exact play time I have listed. Which is like 17ish hours at the time of this review.

Pros:

+Good graphics, runs really well on Med/High with my 750Ti SC and looks amazing

+Really good cutscenes, they add imersion, and depth to an already good storyline

+Combat, as everyone else says, it's Batman basically. I played it with Keyboard/Mouse, and had to adjust a few keys for comfort. But other than that it's really simple, and fun to play.

+Plenty of different abilities, and way to finish of Uruks. Including a plethora of Stealth attacks.

Cons:

-Honestly, it's pretty short. This doesn't detract from the quality of the story itself, just removes the amount of time I have a legitimate reason to play.

-Can get repetitive after a few hours if you don't take breaks in between. Like really repetitive.

-The AI for the Uruks is really bad, meaning 2 Uruks can be standing side by side, and you'll stealth takedown their buddy, and he won't notice a thing. Mostly an Immersion issue for me but still irks me a bit.

Overall: 8.5/10

Would recommend getting the GOTY edition from Bundlestars though for like $14ish. Unless it's on sale here.

>Killed bunny for living.
>Destroyed a squirrel for looking at me funny.
>Got to slowly and methodically murder a giant wall of flesh, in the deepest parts of hell.

10/10 IGN. Would purchase for $0.99 again. :D

Real talk: Buy this game. Just when it's on sale. You won't regret it. I promise you.
