Okay so listen. I bought The Alters thinking it was gonna be another one of those “deep indie survival in space” games where you just walk around slowly and get sad. But NOPE. This game had other plans for me.

First of all, I'm just one dude. ONE SINGLE PERSON! But then I have make clones of myself, but like, with different life choices 😂 So now there’s Engineer Me, Brave Me, Nerd Me, Regrets-All-Choices Me… it's like playing The Sims but all the Sims are all me and also I'm trying not to die. I'm not gonna lie, the first time I made an Alter, I was like, “Oh cool, a friend!” But then my friend was me and he was mad at me and I was like “whoa buddy chill I made you!” And he was like “I didn’t ask to be born!!” and I was like “OKAY, RELAX, YOU'RE PROBABLY GOING TO DIE SOON" taking the fact that I usually suck at these types of games. I did try this while it was a DEMO, I think last year (if I remember correctly).

The base-building is super addictive. You’re in this weird spinny death wheel thing and you gotta make sure everyone eats and works and doesn’t absolutely lose it. Kinda like a space version of working retail, honestly. Choices matter a LOT. Like, I helped one of my Alters with a personal issue and now he doesn’t hate me and actually does his job without throwing emotional shade every 10 seconds. That’s a win. I’m basically a space therapist now. There’s guilt. There’s cooking. There's a lot of drama too, UGH!!!

Anyway I’m barely past Act 1 and already I feel like I’ve aged 5 years, built a friendship with myself, lost that friendship, regained it, and then had a meltdown about a solar storm. Would recommend to anyone who likes games in which choices do matter - 10/10. ❤️

It’s like Minecraft... but with fewer creepers and more chances to accidentally punch your best friend while building a house 😂

I could never go back to Sims after this. While the performance is not ideal it still runs decently well with all graphics maxed out and RayTracing (DLSS on Quality). Thanks KRAFTON for this ❤️🥰

LOVE IT! Until now, Assassin's Creed Odyssey was my favorite but now there's a new winner in my heart ❤️ Of course Kassandra is still my favorite but as for the game this one tops them all!

Awesome game, can't wait to get back into it after more slots open for Cross-Platform Beta!

Has potential but it feels like a mobile game. I'll pass on this for a while.

The mutant monsters or whatever they are are quite hard to kill but the game's overall fun. Only 1 hour in but can't wait to play more tomorrow (it's too late now). The game runs really well on Epic graphics (1440p ultrawide) with DLSS and Frame Generation ON.

Game is not that bad. Could be better though. I do hate playing with console players... aim assist ruins everything.

Just finished my first match (I died) but was fun... game is running pretty well, people with bad FPS need a new PC... I've seen quite a few bugs while in the game but nothing game breaking. I wish I did have more ammo but if you team up with others, you can survive it.

Fun game! No micro-transactions which makes it even better. Played the campaign a bit and some PVP too, they're both fun, except when people leave the match in PVP.
