It works like empathy. "Empathy" is just a fancy word for the action which ppl using their imagination to simulate other feeling, pretend they go through all of those and assume they understand it. Nothing wrong with trying to understand the others, the problem is when they go extremely "assume", they become some kind of hypocrite themselves without noticing. But what is "it" after all?
