Love it.

I wanted to give it a positive review as a joke, but there are some things that shouldn't be joked about.

Really great game, had a blast playing it.

pros:
• The gameplay is really fun
• The weapons are all really satisfying, creative, pretty, and actually useful
• The secrets are really rewarding to find
• The game's aesthetic is gorgeous and the levels are very atmospheric (aside from the forges, those genuinely suck)
• There is a surprising amount of variety, and there isn't really any padding at all
• Good sound design
• Planet jumping >>> rocket jumping
• No hitscan

cons:

• It's a bit short
• Sometimes the game doesn't register mouse inputs (you press m1 but the weapon doesn't do anything) after swapping weapons, which has a significantly detrimental effect on gameplay
• The lore text signs range from "pretentious but inoffensive" to "cringy and immersion-breaking"
• The hud font is pretty, but sometimes really hard to read (e.g. the number 2 looks more like a 3)
• The Forges

My completely arbitrary rating is 7.5/10
Great experience overall, with some hiccups

One of the biggest disappointments I have ever experienced. First steam game I ever had to refund.

It's absolutely soulless. The world, the characters, the enemies. No personality at all. No charm. No originality. No nuance.
It's like Turtle Rock has no idea what made L4D actually work.
And even if it wasn't lacking in that department, in terms of the gameplay experience, viscerally the game just isn't fun. It's, clunky, stale, too stiff, and just not satisfying. I think they should remove the "From the creators of Left 4 Dead" line from the store front. Turtle Rock has made it all too clear who really made the Left 4 Dead series the masterpiece it is.

As a Left 4 Dead 2 successor: 1/10
As a stand-alone title: 4/10

Tekken items bad
Everything else good

It's cool. And the voices are a welcome addition.
The Tekken items kinda suck, however, since a lot of them have parts that can't be recolored
Which kinda goes against the point of CAS
So... I am giving it a very mild thumbs up

Most of the parts kinda suck, but the overalls and the boxing set are really useful

One of the best creation sets!
The hit effects really add a lot of character to your creations, and the new stickers and parts are really nice!

It's a shame to see that people only care about basic ♥♥♥♥♥ armor sets. How about you get creative instead? :p
