I picked this up early-access and it's my first deck-builder game, though I'd heard a lot already about Slay The Spire and it's similarities. Since I started playing I've been recommending this to everyone.

The art style, animations, UI is all sleek, beautiful and masterfully polished as expected from Klei. The soundtrack and SFX is a stand out for me - from the atmospheric background hustle of the Griftlands, to the tense beats that pick up as you get low on health which incites a familiar feeling to those who played old school Pokemon!

I thoroughly enjoyed the gameplay too; the three characters all had vastly different stories and play styles, whilst the rogue-element was finessed enough to provide lots of replayability. I've played 50 hours so far and feel like I've not scratched the surface. As other reviews have said, the mechanics of the fights & negotiations is easy to pick up but hard to master, but the game does a great job of making you want to master it. Another unique masterpiece from Klei.
