Assuming you can deal with Uplay, Rayman Legends is one of the finest 2D platformers you can buy. It's a game that looks and plays like its enjoying itself. Its whimsical enthusiam is infectious! Don't take that to mean it's an easy game, though. Your skills will be tested in a variety of ways that require excellent timing, rhythm, and quick reflexes.

Highly recommended.

Hotline Miami's style alone makes it easy to recommend, though its gameplay may alienate some people. The chaotic nature of the combat means that, while trial-and-error is a core component to how you progress through the levels, you'll never be able to predict exactly how things will play out. This can be maddening, but also highly rewarding once you find your rhythm, as success is ultimately contingent on timing and reflexes.

An interesting story and moody atmosphere compliment puzzles that are clever, but never feel too complicated. Very cool game.
