-DISCLAIMER-
If you can't tolerate losing every other game, and you want to play for free then turn away.

Now that that is out of the way we can proceed.

This is a temendously fun game.

There are strategies within strategies.

You DO NOT have to have the very best cards to win.
In fact, you can amass a good deal of cards by simply completing the quests that are offered.

If you decide to give this game a chance my advice is to save your gold and by the quest packs.
You will learn the mechanics of the game and be granted card packs along the way.

The puzzle quest mode is great for offering insight into board positioning, character abilities, and the base tactics that will help you win.

I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys CCG's

I feel this game has gotten a bad rap.
Was it as good as the Nintendo 64 gauntlet legends....No.
Does it stay true to the gauntlet franchise overall...Absolutely.
at the time of my writing of this review the games is 75% off ( a grand total of $4.99)
at a price like that, it is absolutely worth it.

This game is amazing. I was hooked after an hour of gameplay.

if you like any of the following:

vehicle fights

Leggos

physics games

minecraft

RPG elements

first person shooters

The only real suggestions i can make to the devs are as follows:

1. Boss battles sometimes spawn your vehicle right in line of sight of the boss. It is no fun to be gunned down with one powerful blast within 2 seconds of the match. I would recommend changing player spawn points behind map obstacles to prevent this. I realize that it may have been done intentionally as a way to give an early edge to the Boss, but it could be taken as sloppy consideration by many (and is no fun for the guy on the receiving end of a 1 hit kill pulse blast).

2. Ally icons on the mini map need to specify the type of weapon that the player has equipped to their vehicle. For example, a circle with the letter "P" would be sufficient for pulse cannon. This would encourage team play through increased awareness of what each team member possesses in their arsenal. I might decide to follow a particular ally who is equipped with a healing nano tech cannon if i new he had one. as it stands, im relegated to visually observing each ally i pass by on my way to whichever route i choose to follow. This becomes a less likely method for identifying your allies capabilities if you are in a flying vehicle since you will typically be far above them and will likely outpace them.

Overall, I feel this game is headed in the right direction and i would recommend it to any fellow gamer.

Im really dissappointed in this game. it supposedly is "controller compatible". Unfortunately, that is not 100% correct. movement and camera panning work as expected, as well as attacks and special attacks. However, the start button somehow got mapped to the right trigger as opposed to the start button on the game pad. This is annoying since it is supposed to be the sprint button.

On top of the mapping issue, there is no way to access the the right side of the "donation" menu from your controller whilst in the loot shrine (at least not that i have been able to ascertain). The only workaround is to switch from game controller to keyboard and mouse. I feel like im being punished for what should be a pleasureable experience. Afterall, a dungeon crawler is all about reaping the rewards found in the myriad dungeons you visit.

While I fully understand the concept of minor oversight, game controls are integral to player enjoyment. I feel like the option to map button inputs in game would have been a marvelous option. However, since that is not the case and i am digitally flogged for attempting to sell my loot, I cannot recommend this game in its current incarnation.

May the devs hear my prayer, and the game gods embolden their action
