The AI is useless and are only good as meatbags. The gameplay is just rushing on the point and killing as many enemies before you get killed yourself. The maps are very small and the gunplay feels really rigid. There is no teamplay at all and as expected of gaijing, the grind is awful.

The only good part is the tank damage mechanic, but you might as well play war thunder.

As a longtime fan of Factorio, I was excited to try this game, hoping it would provide a similar automation experience with the added complexity of building vertically. Unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations, and I quickly lost interest.

The first major issue I encountered was resource scarcity. In the early game, you're limited by a lack of accessible resources, and power generation barely sustains even a few smelters and assembly machines. These machines also need constant manual feeding, which undermines the sense of automation I was looking for. Even after discovering coal, I still found it difficult to fully automate my base, as the limited coal patches meant I was stuck using biomass burners far longer than I expected. Coming from Factorio, where you can scale up production rapidly, this felt frustrating and slow.

Another problem is the first-person perspective. While the concept of building in first-person seems unique, in practice, it made factory building unnecessarily difficult. I often found myself constructing towers just to get a better view of my base, effectively turning the game into a top-down builder—but with more hassle. This added extra steps that hindered my ability to enjoy the building aspect.

The combat system was also disappointing. Unlike Factorio, where you can automate defenses, combat here can't be automated. It quickly became repetitive and felt like a chore. Turning it off altogether removes any external threats, but that also strips the game of any tension, making it feel too relaxed for someone like me who enjoys a degree of pressure.

Overall, while the game offers a relaxing factory-building experience, it didn't provide the complex automation systems I was hoping for. The slower progression, building limitations, and lackluster combat made it feel more like a casual base-builder than a challenging automation game. It’s clear that this game could be enjoyable for those seeking a more laid-back experience, but for someone looking for the intricate systems and scalability of a game like Factorio, it misses the mark.

It's a small community, but probably the best WW2 sim you can find out there. Although, I would strongly advise against playing this game if you are not planning on communicating with your team. Communication is key!

War thunder is a great game, with great physics, beautiful graphics and entertaining gameplay. I played it solo for a long time, and it's an even better game with friends. I mostly play ground forces, so my review relates only to this part. I'm a big fan of WW2 game, and i really enjoy playing in these mythical vehicules, wich are really well recreated in game. But even with all of that, I still don't recommend playing this game. There is multiple minor problems, but they are so insignificant i won't talk about this. The major problem is the matchmaking system. I'm playing this game for realism, but the matchmaking only takes into account the battle rating, wich is a totally subjective measurement of the tank efficiency. This create absurd battles where i'm playing a 1940s vehicule against 1950s-1960s vehicules. You don't need to be historian to know that Tigers never fought any M41A1 or any M56, both post war vehicules, but common encounter on game. It often make the fight unfair, but most importantly, it ruins immersion.

I love this game, but the devs gave up on it. It has a pretty fun gameplay, but it is not enough to counteract the very poor stability and performances.
