This game could be soooo much better, if there wasn't as many hackers as there are in Rust.

Anti-cheat is a joke. Multiplayer is a joke because of it. Save yourself the time and energy wasted, and buy a game where people can play fairly.

Oh, let's add to this. 3/13/2019. Since their latest update it's been non-stop disconnecting from every match, and blatant hacking every single match as well. One match had a guy pistol headshot me from the first 15 seconds of the game, next game played for 5 minutes, got disconnected, and ended up stuck in a game where I couldn't break anything, etc. Ended up force-quitting and losing a $1500 hunter.

Not worth it at this time.

A day or two in since their new patch. Hackers in every single match. It seems whenever the game is updated they all come out to play. I've had many hours in this game so far, prior, without many issues. But anytime content updates or new stuff comes around in general, you have a swarm of hackers.

Complete waste of time. I've uninstalled.

A couple weeks later. Attempted again. Had a couple great games, normal players. Next day I am getting destroyed by people with pistols from a field away, THROUGH walls and buildings, no misses.

Uninstall #2. Everyone I know who plays this has also uninstalled, everyone is experiencing the same annoying hackers.

This game's been around for ages. Yet still, I heavy kick someone, no stun. I get heavy kicked, I can't move for 2+ attacks.

Broken as ♥♥♥♥. People running around swinging mauls like they're a lasso. Speed hackers in every server.

Not worth.

This is my final review of the game. The developers have abandoned all sense of fairness, the only people that still play are overlay users and/or hackers.

It's fun - don't get me wrong. But once you get to the point where you know what's what, you're still getting ♥♥♥♥ on by the many hackers that are in the only remaining server in the game, Candlewake Cove. This community has destroyed the game, it's literally 4-5 or more people constantlly stacking the game, using overlays (whereas other people try to legitimately play) - it's full of drama, and there's not any fun to be had.

Choose a different pirate game. You will not only thank me, but thank yourself for your choice and discernment.

Their official servers are full of admins who abuse their powers for max level, and bully other players on the server. Enough said. If you play this at all, do not play on a Tasharen server.

Remaking this review, as now, because of the lack of attention this game has received, and the negative impact of the developer's own statements regarding their plans for the next year, I have quit this game.

1. 50% of the game is hidden in shadows that are barely visible, you can't really see anything without straining your eyes and turning off every light in the house. They say it is because those areas are "unfinished" - their plans for the next year do not contain any new map area releases (fog lifts, as I like to call them).

2. There are only a few servers, for major geographical areas, and anyone from all over the world can join any server. 90% of my time is spent fighting people I can't even hit because of the de-sync. For a 100% PVP oriented game, it's barely playable. They need to implement IP block restrictions, etc. Even south american players de-sync extremely bad. They really need a server per country.

3. Everyone is quitting. Barely anyone plays anymore, mainly because of the aforementioned issues. That, and well, everyone raids bases. Nobody harvests materials anymore, they just raid. So there's no point in playing the game because you are just going to get raided if you start now when the map is old.

Honestly, they should have finished the game before releasing, because now that everyone has become fed up with the game and quit in favor of other games, they've lost their player base and nobody is going to be interested in playing once the game is finally finished.

EDIT: They dropped Mac support and got rid of a game I payed thousands of dollars into, over the years. I think it's time to DROP STEAM entirely. Good move, Valve!

It's a shame this game has lasted as long as it has, what with the community and all. Every competitive match there are hackers. A whole separate league was created just to get away from it, it's that bad. The game is full of trolls.

Don't buy this game if you want fair play. There is none. I've played more than 1k hours over many years, I keep coming back thinking maybe things will be different. Another game ruined by the community.
