Incredible game. I need more games like this inspired by Sekiro combat. Can't get enough of it. Everything is great about this game. The only thing I had an issue with was that the backtracking was a little confusing. 9.5/10

Literally just Undertale turned into masterpiece. This game without question has the potential to be one of my top 3 games of all time depending on how it ends. It's peak as hell.

Such a great game. Played it once back around the time it released and loved it. Came back to do replay and play the other routes. The only flaw in Undertale is that the Genocide route is boring as hell and needed more powered up versions of bosses like undyne the undying (Even though it was probably intended to be boring.)

9/10

The best FromSoftware game and it's not even close. This game has by far the best combat in any game I've ever played. Story is great too. The only flaw this game has that I can think of is that fighting multiple enemies at once is super awkward even towards the end of the game. 9.5/10

Great game. I had such a fun time playing it and I couldn't drop it until I had done everything. I don't think it's a "perfect masterpiece" like everyone is hypes it up to be. But it's a huge step in the right direction for game innovation and turn based games.

The main thing about this game I liked is something I always like about a game when it's there. It's the developers actually being passionate about making it. It's pretty easy to tell when a game is made passionately vs when a game is made solely for the purpose of being a cash cow. This one is definitely the former. The amount of detail put into this game for around 30 devs in only 4 years is unreal. It's almost hard to believe that it's even possible. The prologue of the game was flawless. You start out knowing nothing, and by the end of it you know exactly what the setting and goal of the game is without just info dumping in an intro cutscene with huge paragraphs you have to read. The prologue ends off with an intriguing hook that keeps you playing to wrap up the rest of the intro narrative. The combat is so well done I don't even know where to begin. Each character's skill set makes every different team combination super unique. The animations are so satisfying, especially for parries and gradient attacks/parries. The designs of all the different creatures in the game and the animations and movesets of all the nevrons are all incredibly well done. I'm a huge fan of the way they did the exploring. It's close to the classic old Final Fantasy style with a big overworld map and each level you play through exits out to a new area of the map to explore and an easier way to backtrack to the previous area. It's such a genius game design tactic that is getting lost to time since so many gamers always want a "true" open world where everywhere you go is seamless with no loading screens, but this game proves it still works incredibly well. The level design is fantastic as well, Each area is very unique with only some of the small side levels using the same design as the main ones to spare resources. All the characters have so much development by the end of the story (Especially the two protagonists Maelle and Verso) so much so that starting at the beginning of the game feels weird as hell. The story has consistent twists and significant events that keep you engaged and guessing.

Now to go into detail on some flaws it had (In my opinion). It seemed like the big ones in the game are likely because a small dev team worked on such a massive project. That still doesn't excuse them from being there though. For example, (This is gonna be a long rant) I intentionally chose the hardest difficulty in the game because I wanted a challenge in all aspects of the game INCLUDING the turn based aspect. I've played a lot of turn based games and I usually pick the hardest difficulty I can because I enjoy having to use strategy instead of just flying through the game spamming damage dealing moves. When I started playing, I loved the lumina and picto system they had. I was excited to get to some tough bosses where I really needed to strategically choose all my luminas and pictos and change up my party, but because of the damage cap, that really never happened for most game until endgame content. That damage cap kinda bummed me out. I just kept playing thinking I'd get to the point where the damage cap is increased and the enemies health pool gets bigger, but no. You play nearly the entire game capped at 9,999 damage (which I was already hitting halfway through Act 1) and it stays capped until you literally beat the paintress at the end of Act 2. You are forced to use exclusively multi-hit skills to deal more than 9,999 damage per turn. That's the only strategy to it. Turns out increasing the difficulty only lowers the parry timing window, and increases enemy damage. Sure that makes it more difficult for the other combat aspects of the game, but throwing on a damage cap instead of balancing out the enemy health and lumina + picto aspects of the game and it's different difficulties feels like a huge ♥♥♥♥ on any turn based strategy the game could've had. The only times I've ever played a turn based game with a damage cap it was either a really old game that could not handle that big of numbers, or a game adding a curve to the damage limit that changed as you progress throughout the game so you can't be overpowered. The second big flaw was the bugs. Some of the skills were bugged and did not do what they described. For example, Lune's Thermal Transfer. The skill describes that it can consume earth stains to get an extra turn, but regardless of what stains you had you would always get the extra turn when you used it. Another system that was really buggy was the lumina and picto system. Some pictos were just completely broken when paired with other ones (even when the abilities they granted had nothing to do with each other) and the whole thing felt like trial and error sometimes to find out what they actually do or which ones don't work with each other. (Trust me on this, I spent many hours getting my damage to hit the billions just for fun in the endgame it was very frustrating) And just to clarify, These things didn't ruin my experience with the game. They were just annoying noticeable things that could've been improved.

Overall it was an excellent game that I am seriously considering as my GOTY. 8.5/10

The best survival game on steam. The crafting and building is very balanced to where it's not too much of a grind to gather materials for everything, but not too easy so you still get the satisfaction. Everything you need to know about the game is already in it. No need to have 10 Wikipedia tabs up on the side like with Terraria and other survival craft games. Just follow the radio calls and data logs, and follow your curiosities to keep diving deeper and you'll get the full experience beating the game. The most unique thing about Subnautica is that it can be the most beautiful, or most horrifying game you've ever played depending on how you portray the ocean. My only complaint with this game is that similar to most other open world survival craft games, you can encounter bugs that lead to huge setbacks in your game. If you save every 10-20 minutes, worst case scenario is you have to lose 10 minutes of progress a couple times. Solid 9/10 game.
