At the present time of Jan 2023, this game is a casino. You can have fun, sure, but it's ultimately designed to extract every cent it can manage from you while engaging in a myriad of psychological tricks to keep you engaged - yet not in any way you'll enjoy.

If you've been paying attention to it's development, you might think that it's an entirely different game than what was promised, and you'd be right.

They might fix it in a couple of years, but there's very little reason to dive in now unless you're a 40k fan and need a fix of rooty tooty, hack, slash, and shooty. But you'll be quickly disappointed by the stability, weapon shop, crafting, lack of levels, lack of classes, broken class abilities (a lot just don't work), and a non-existent story (or might well as be).

Fatshark sucks at timely updates and any communication so you'll get get that too. Don't engage with the community managers, you'll likely come away frustrated and similarly disappointed.

I'm a diehard 40k fan, so I'll probably keep playing until space marine 2 drops.

Fun little dungeon crawler.
Little bit tricky, and you feel pretty good after solving a particularly hard puzzle.

All and all, not a bad little time waster.

Eufloria is a contradiction; A relaxing real time strategy game.
There should be the stress of the micromanaging, and ebb and flow of battle. Instead, its calming music drains the tension out of the situation. The pace of the game will almost feel like you're controlling a steady tide washing over the map.

Enjoyable and fun when you aren't interested in something intense.

A fun basic romp that's part sim and part rts. It's a mish mash of different gameplay genres.

It's a little bit dated, where graphics and performance are concerned, and once you get the hang of how to play the game, it seems like a fairly linear grindfest where to do X you need to do Y, with very little variation.0

Also be warned that the main resource in this game is your time. You're always waiting on something or other, whether its for more minions to be trained up, stealing money to be completed, plotting to uncover new world objectives, or just waiting for pesky agents to leave you alone or give you room to do what you need to do. You're going to be clicking things for about 10 seconds and then waiting a few minutes for the payoff with nothing to do - thank god for steam overlay and the fact that it doesn't pause the game when you go into it.

All and all though, it's not a bad little game. I've sunk about 80 hours into it. I'm not sure if I'm proud or ashamed of that fact.

I didn't like it... But I will give it credit where it's due, it's something different.

All and all, it was alright, but there's a huge jump in skill when playing single player that just turned me off completing the game.

33 hours in, and I just don't have the energy or the will to come back to this game, its grind, or the repetition.

It was enjoyable at first... But, as I said, I just don't have the energy or will to continue playing it.

In my mind, the tower defence genre rose to it's apex with the custom warcraft 3 maps, and nothing ever quite matched the same feeling of satisfaction in regards to gameplay.

That said, Defense Grid was not an altogether unpleasant experience. The maps were varied and interesting, but I found myself getting bored by the end of it, and only bothered to play through the story. There's a lot of repetition.

I liked it enough though.

My recommendation is putting it in windowed display, if you are going to play it. On my system it didn't like alt tabbing to the desktop and back, and would get graphical errors that made it nigh unplayable.

Interesting game, that I find hard to describe. Hard to pin down what I liked about it and hated about it.

This isn't a traditional game, and more of a story that tells itself as you walk through the environs.

Quite short, but very beautiful. An interesting take an what a book would be like if it were a video game.

Definately a must buy if its on special. Not something I'd recommend if you're bored. It won't entertain you, but it will... Make you feel.

I find it interesting to note, that you shouldn't buy this game, expecting a game.

You should buy this game expecting art. Some people are going to like it. Others are going to hate it.
That's what art does. It polarizes people.

Art affects people. Makes them consider a different point of view. It makes you feel something. It brings self reflection.

The Stanley Parable is Art.

That said, if you could get the mona lisa at a discount, would you bother paying full price? On sale, or if you're bored, worth it. But don't expect a game, expect art and an experience.

I looked at the description in the store for I Am Alive and thought it was a neat concept.
I played the game, and there wasn't a moment I wasn't happy with it.
It wasn't ground breaking, nor was it particularly beautifully - it's visuals obscured by a constant miasma of dust.
The thing that won me over with this game was it's humanity.
It's a touching story, with fun climing, fun stealth, and interesting interactions with NPC's.
It doesn't pull any punches with it's content, and it gives a brutally honest opinion of what it would be like in a post apocolyptic world.
If there's one drawback for this game, it is its length. You'll easily blow through the game with it having around about 10 hours gametime, give or take, if you're trying to complete it all on normal difficulty.
It also feels like it should have gone further, and done more. Like it should have been bigger, with epic moment scattered throughout it. However, when I thought back on this, anything bigger with epic moments scattered through would have robbed the game of its humanity.

I recommend this if it's on sale, or for its full retail price if you're bored and want to play something with a bit of charm.
