The game may be amazing, and once upon a time a demo I played of it I enjoyed. But I've owned this game since the 2014 Summer Sale. I still haven't been able to play it. Uplay lite packed with Steam couldn't get the game to launch, so I had to install the full version of Uplay (strike one). Even though Uplay, I couldn't actually get the game to start. Citing missing files because of purchased DLC (strike two). Additionally I had to both download an old version of the updater from mediafire, and poke around until I found a valid Ubisoft IP for running the launcher's proxy through (strike three.)

And then it still only downloaded some of the DLC, and I once again just get to stare at a "you're missing some crap, restart and patch me, bro" screen (strike four).

So in summary, I had to install malware onto my computer, utilize third party hosted files, and dig through Ubisoft's forums for four hours only to still not be able to play a game I own and the best tech support advice I was given was "reinstall windows."

Absolute and utter garbage. I only haven't sought a refund because I'm confident if I ever feel the urge to I could probably find a DRM crack for it and actually be able to play.

Is it a great game? Nah. Do I feel like I spend most of the time backpedaling as fast as possible to keep shooting dinos in the head? Yeah. Is the weapon and perk buying between waves mechanic decent? Sure.

Am I debating just buying a handful of four packs and giving them out to my friends saying "We need to get a group together to play this?" Ooh hell yeah.

There seems to be a lot of polish missing, but for 99¢ there isn't the "I paid $30 for this garbage?" response. Sometimes I know I don't want to play a real complicated game, and I just want to dome some dinos. And given use of the Unreal Engine, and decent selection of weapons, I have to say I prefer this as my mindless dino shooter of choice; beating out Primal Carnage despite it being objectively better in most ways.

Give it a try. If you don't have a buck to spare, what are you doing looking at reviews on Steam anyway?
