I won't go too in-depth as others have typed better reviews than I could but I have a couple of things to say nevertheless.

Firstly, the AI are actually absurd. I've noticed three "experiences" so to speak with them. The first is that they are ridiculously slow and I can absolutely destroy them even on the same performance level. Particularly on cross-country events, but a couple of times with point-to-point street races. The second experience is that they are absolute rockets in a straight line, but crash out in corners like morons so you sort of still get a chance if there are enough corners. The third experience is that the AI have such ridiculous pace even though I drive a car at the same performance level, I might as well be driving VW Beetle compared to an F1 car.

Secondly, the first and only category you'll get to drive early on is Daily Driver category with cars like the Nissan 370z, 2018 Ford Mustang etc etc but Daily Driver category cars that are RWD handle like absolute toss until you can upgrade your tires which is at minimum level 15. AWD cars however don't suffer from this issue so much, but still understeer somewhat although not nearly as bad so you might as well bin whichever of the three cars you get at the start and go buy an AWD car for Daily Driver category ASAP.

In short, fixing the inconsistent and oftentimes unfair AI will go a long way in my opinion. The understeery RWD Daily Driver cars need a bit of a handling buff to be viable compared to AWD daily driver cars. It's a fun game other than those issues which screw with the experience for me personally.

I overlooked the anomalies

It works. Some textures look better, some look like grease from a fryer thrown at a wall. AI are dumb, but so am I for buying this when I had already stole it. Also rain sounds like a chorus of chalk on a board and sandpaper being scraped across my eardrums. Overall I'd rate this "rose-tinted glasses" out of 45$ from my bank account.

so it's still broken for me and crashes at launch... but sometimes it works and I can play it as I'd expect to, but why would I want to?? give me a tenner and a bottle of hard liquor and I could have this up and running in no time.. or maybe a year of therapy for thinking this would be any good

Online only. Meaning you can be disconnected from the heist at ANY TIME losing your progress for that heist. Even if you're solo playing. ♥♥♥♥ that ♥♥♥♥.
