Early Access Review
so in early access, it played more like warcraft 3 and wasnt very good. it was almost good. but not great. the changes they made recently changed that and now it plays much more like the spiritual successor to sc2 it was meant to be. I really like the direction they took it. If you're a guy like me, looking to play a new version of sc2 this is your game. i wouldn't have said that during early access, but i would say that about the game i played today sept 29th 2024. celestial is protoss, infernal is zerg, vanguard is terran. they did make some cool changes. i like that the terran faction is the one that has carriers. i like that the celestial (toss) are mobile and can strike early on in the game. I think they need to upgrade the zerg faction (infernal) as they seem kind of lackluster rn compared to the other two, but judging by the changes they made between early access and now, theyre clearly listening to the community so I have hope/faith this game will be updated and cared for accordingly as time goes on and people give feedback. the fact the developers are listening means a lot. I reccomend this game to any sc2 vets that are desperately searching for its spiritual successor. this game really scratches that itch. the hotkey system is amazing too.

edit: still in EA didnt realize, that was just an update. one more thing ill say, the terran faction is very underpowered. Zerg faction is very OP. suits me just fine tho, Im a Zerg player

i dont like harry potter. I didn't like the books or the movies. I think witches and wizards are kinda gey.

This game is awesome. the depth of the combat system, the open world, the abundance of stuff to do, all the different spells and parry system and it plays like elden ring. so many different combat options. Its so fun. im 20 hours in and the world is just opening up more fully. I can't really speak to the story because i skip all of it, really not interested at all in the wizarding stuff or the lore but man is this game fun to play.

well i wanted to like this game. everything about it is awesome, exactly the pirate game I'm looking for. the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bugs are ruining it tho. every so often my boat randomly sinks. I don't hit anything, most of the time the boat is parked when it happens. no chance to fix, it goes straight from 100% to immediately sunk. its happening so frequently at this point its completely ruined the experience. I looked it up and its been ongoing problem for people since at least 2021 so clearly the devs dont give a ♥♥♥♥ about fixing it. if this issue wasnt there this game would be awesome but at this point i cant stand to play it.

I really wanted to like this game. I had a lot of fun with it until i reached seige engine, the first main boss.

This is the worst designed boss I have ever played. The most boring, un-fun, technically shoddy boss fight ive ever experienced. 30+ minutes of running in circles. every few minutes you get the opportunity to hit him a couple times, though due to the size of the boss and its hit box half the time standing directly next to what you are supposed to hit still wont land. While you're playing the most boring nascar race ever, he will spawn enemies and attack you. these enemies have the same hit box issues as they are flyers and will sometimes glitch out and get stuck on invisible objects. sometimes standing directly next to them your hits dont land. the hit box issue has occurred a few times up until this point, but with the size of this boss its glaring. Ive never experience a less fun time in a video game. its not impossible to beat, its just the way to do so is running in circles for a half hour hoping the game doesnt glitch out when you get your once every few minute chance to attack. another technical problem during the game involve needing to reload because a ladder glitched out and i couldnt descend it. Now im only a little ways into the game, and at this point i doubt ill finish. such a shame, it had a lot of potential. i really wanted to like it.

This game is amazing. My favorite souls game ever. To let you know where I come from on this, I have clocked in 100's of hours on both ds3 + dlc and Bloodborne + DLC, and a good 150 hours on ds1. Ive put in some time in sekiro as well. Ive bought all 3 games twice, once for my old computer and ps4 and once for my new computer and my step-kids ps4. I'm not a good player but I do love the games. My previous all time favorite game, not all time favorite from soft game, was bloodborne. so this review is coming from a fan of the souls series who knew coming in I would like a souls game.

The combat is a mix of ds3, bloodborne and sekiro. you can guard counter like in sekiro, jump attack like sekiro, parrying and speed of combat + the backstab feel like a mix of Bloodborne and ds3. its like combat as fast as sekiro with creatures that look like they are from bloodborne or ds3. you're attacks feel like they did in ds3, very satisfying. backstabs have the look and feel of bloodborne. in reality you can make a playstyle that will feel more like one of the three or all three combined its up to you.

level progression is souls all the way. perfection

moving around the world and getting places never feels like it takes too long. exploration is immensly satisfying. this world is chock full of fun ♥♥♥♥ to do.

a lot of bloodborne aesthetic is in this game. The open world is huge and there is a ton of different biomes. each one has a different feel. The story feels epic, like you are watching Lord of the Rings or something. This is the only fromsoft game that I've felt invested in the storyline other than bloodborne. exploration is rewarded, the order of the game is for the most part up to you. The bosses are fun and different, The enemy variety is good.

Bottom line if you like the souls series and sekiro, this is everything we've hoped it would be

PC ISSUES: at the time of writing, I have put in over 50 hours and I've only had 3 times my game lagged for a second. one of those got me killed but whatever. I die to camera angles wayyy more than that and I don't complain because 99.9% of the game feels fair. The issues others talking about are not happening for me thank god. I don't think my comp is top of the line.

my SPeCs:
graphics card: Nvidia geforce rtx 2070 super
processor: core i7 9th gen
hard drive: 1 tb sata and 3 tb mechanical
