As someone who owns the rarest achievement gained by completing the game on the hardest difficulty, I can say that it's not that difficult. It's just a more skill-based game like the Souls series. Currently, it is one of the best Souls-like games available.

Truly masterpiece. People complaining about optimization and that's true - it is bad, but its great history ( better than newest star wars trilogy ) and cinematics recompensate it.
