I want to give a positive review for this game, but there are many fundamental issues with the game that I cannot.
tl;dr: Don't play this game if you want a well-optimized game that respects your time and money as a player. Pretty lipstick doesn't fix foundational flaws.

Pros:
- Many classes to choose from
- Skill animations are beautiful
- Outfits are detailed and beautiful
- Many professions (life skill options)
- Interesting action combat that provides the opportunity for players to use both action bar skills and memorize letter inputs to flow skills together (i.e. pressing a+c is one unique ability, shift+q is another).
- Small scale PvP 1v1, 3v3 can be great fun with the action combat system.

Cons:
- The devs do not respect your time. At every turn, the game is designed to keep you playing longer even if it is while you're afk. Players are incentivized to leave their computers on and games open to afk fish/fight to continue to gain skill/combat exp or money.
- Following the above issue, players can spend hours even days farming gear enhancement materials only to fail the enhancement and either lose an enhancement level or LOSE (the process destroys it) the piece of gear.
- $$ Rules with baked in convenience items available in the shop that make one's experience far better in key gameplay aspects such as inventory management, buffs, character slots, pets, mounts, camps etc.
- They have developed the game to hook you while you're learning and then leave you stranded without buffs that provide strong quality of life components. Subsequently, you have to either decide to suck it up or buy the buffs from the shop. For instance, the value pack is a buff that provides +16 storage slots to both personal and city storage. Once the buff disappears so do those storage slots and the player is left with little inventory space.
- The above problem is compounded by the game throwing numerous currencies, event and enhancement items, end game items, buffs, consumables, etc that you rapidly run out of storage. This problem is worsened as you have to connect other town's storage locations through a long and tedious quest line, Magnus.
- Even if you buy a convenience item with $, you are still left to take extra steps because the game hasn't explained what the item entails. For instance, buying a camp from the shop allows you to set it up in the world and buy buffs. However, without the account wide buff, Secret of the Old Moon, you have to send an alt to sit at a specific game location, spend in game currency, and then transfer a scroll to your main character using the tent in order to buy the buffs from the camp.
- The story for the game is poorly written and difficult to follow.
- The new player experience is awful. They have improved it considerably but they have to have numerous text windows, tips, warning, and external guides simply to help new players navigate the beginning stages.
- PvP is unplayable compared to any other MMO because the game is so poorly optimized. In any large scale PvP, no effects are shown by ally or enemy players even with the correct game settings selected. The burden is put on the player to understand all 24+ unique classes in order to avoid incoming damage while seeing no effects go off. The killer is movement abilities cause players to look like they are lagging or glitching from one location to the next.
- Because there are no effects, PvE is also quite bland.
- Life skilling, the node management/investment system, and worker systems are poorly explained in game.

"No internet connection"

I requested a refund for this ♥♥♥♥ game. If an established game cannot successfully launch and let prospective players into their servers, it does not deserve anyone's money.

Why is there no persistent save?

I lost progress because the game stopped letting me interact with anything. Moreover, I was mid session with two other people. No online game should require manual saving.

I cannot explain how much I dislike this game. They added every aspect of real life into a zombie survival game making it so tenuous and boring while restricting you from doing basic tasks.

I would rather become a bio terrorist and create my own zombie apocalypse, so I can live my real life how Project Zomboid wants their game to be. Then, at least, I could read my books faster.

Nostalgia <3

Fun game, story seems great so far. A lot of cute temtems and nice music.

People are just complaining about the cosmetics for sale, yet they don't impact gameplay unless you count a 3% xp bonus as a substantial gameplay bonus (which it's not). I'm not saying it's right, but it's MMO standard to often have cosmetics for sale.

I'm glad that I bought it on sale, but not glad that I bought it....
