I'm not even through the main story and yet I've just been dumping the time into exploring the zone in all its decrepit glory. It is a wonderful flash back to the past three games, with a dev team who have been correcting what errors are there in good fashion.

Drawing from the vein set by mech-games or yore and combining it with a closer to the ground take upon VTOL VR makes for another enjoyable addition to the world of verisimilitude simulations. While OVRLRD won't pull you into the rivets of maintaining your mechs torsion springs, you will become quite familiar with the degree of mental capacity required to manually actuate your systems which Steel Battalion required a custom controller for back in the day.

Gather a drink at the bar and mask up, Otxo

Hotline Miami's combat distilled into a roguelike run of drunken mutators, a curious plot and a banging soundtrack.

A worthy descendent of media if any.

Even for one whom doesn't normally have a taste for card games, Inscryption manages to draw a player in with it's immersive setting and macabre sense of mystery as to the unusual game of cards and cunning that they have been given.

We have games about construction, why not games about the opposite?

Shipbreakers has you methodically dissembling ships at the end of their life-cycle, learning the ways to earn the most credits by recycling and salvaging parts as befits them. While a game about steadily advancing yourself through corporate debt, it also offers a free-play mode to strip away the concerns of time and limitations.

You're sneaking through an enemy compound, until you hear a sound, crunching... Someone is eating crisps, you can hear them, but you can't see them.

Between the 3D sound and movement system, this game stands out for hilarity that can ensue amid tactical espionage action.

"Look at you, hacker. A pathetic creature of meat and bone, panting and sweating as you run through my corridors. How can you challenge a perfect, immortal machine?"

With these chilling words, step into the realm of the late-90s cyber-RPG classic, System Shock 2.

Even without knowledge of the first game, those willing to brave the slightly dated interface and systems will find a classicimmersive sim well worth the cost.

A rather modern take upon the style of game put forward by Red Storm Rising, while not quite as in depth as Silent Hunter and ultimately relying more upon an action-style use of direct keyboard controls than ordering crew-members, Cold Waters manages to successfully integrate submarine warfare into a package more suitable for a conventional modern audience. With several content updates, the South China Sea campaign in particular standing out.
