Within 6 months of purchasing the game i've already played the game 25 times, bought the game 4 times, including the collector's edition, and have purchased a niko plush and poster... I've gone mad.

If you're ever interested in buying OneShot, please play with caution. It's too good, and you'll fall in love immediately. Consult your doctor if you show signs of: Crying, Sobbing, Guilt, or Emptiness.

I died on 4-3 on my first all zones run and i am upset

Despite that, i'm still enjoying this game.

Great music, 3-2C is my favorite. Easy to make texture packs for. Tons of easy to change content for those who wish to spice things up, and of course as a roguelike-rhythm-dungeon crawler every run feels incredibly different from the last.

When i first recived this game from a gift, i was a bit skeptical of how good this game was going to be, as i had never played any games like it before. I quickly figured out how good this game is, despite its difficulty.

This game has a great world, amazing art, good music, and tons of content, which at the time of this review, i'm only 50% through what this game has to offer. Each area feels incredibly different compared to the others, and every area always has secrets waiting to be discovered by the player.

There are some pretty minor drawbacks, however. Mobility at the start of the game is extremely limited, and mostly is default walking, Running isn't even an option until a charm later on in the game, and in the later portions of the game, travelling through the map can feel tedious.

Asides from those concerns, the game is amazing, and i can see myself working to 100% it later on.

Edit: Since making this review, I've 112% the game on a normal profile, and currently am working on the P5 achievement. This game is amazing, and i once again highly recommend it.

Edit 2: My views on this game have not changed since i got it. Pantheon 5 was easy, ngl.

Edit 3: Just 100% the games achievements. Hollow Knight is 100% Worth it. Only takes about 110 hours to comp, but still has tons of content post-100%. I love this game, and highly recommend it to longtime Metroidvania fans and for newcomers to the genre (from a personal experience!)

I havent played for long so far, but heres what i think for now.

So far, i'm loving the visuals and seeing bosses "team up" in certain ways, (I.E: Eyebalrog and Medusalier) and seeing what happened to the other characters post-EnTG is charming in a way.

Though, the game does feel like it was thrown together rather quickly, many sprites are the same from EnTG, and some songs sound like remixes of their ETG tracks, alongside with some new sprites not being... as good as possible.

I'd rate this a middle ground if there was, but for the most part its good, just some issues that can easily be fixed.

This game is packed with content, and is fun even after beating the main story and DLC stories.

10/10.
