Back when the Steam Mobile Authenticator was brought in for trading, I let a friend use my phone number to connect his Steam to because he didn't have a phone.

That phone since broke and he stopped using that account and we argued like little kiddies over something unrelated and stopped talking.

He's now Overwatch banned and because the number was connected to my Steam account I'm Overwatch banned, too.
