I was worried the game would be too shallow to be worth the money so I played it for only a little bit so I could refund it. It was ten hours later.

It's the most innovative shooter I've played in years. Short, sweet, and to the point (albeit I don't know if I would spend $25 on it.) Anyways, if you find me that password, send it please?

Please?

Very good, very fun and replayable, fairly early in development but has enough already for fun and with missions creators. Also uses Unity so very moddable (though no official support yet.)

Not sure what else to say.

Game is a fun successor to SWAT 4 with interesting story and visuals. The gunplay is good, the AI is... mostly good (I think they gave my guys lobotomies,) and the graphics look good (from what little I can see on low lol.)

The anime waifu posters are not affected by graphics settings which was a funny realization.

Game is completely unplayable. Crashes within 2 minutes of starting the game, often times 10-20 seconds of loading into a map. This doesn't seem to be an issue with my computer as people with both high and low end machines report this issue. Your mileage will vary greatly.

Was completely unable to get the game to work. Game refused to connect to any matches.

This game's purchase system alone earns this game a spot in hell.

As it stands I give it a 0/10. Completely unplayable unless you get nothing but headshots. Even then you still are unlikely to get kills because of the insane lag.

That being said it's a easy 8/10 FPS if they fix the lag.

I was so tempted to buy this game, seen so many good things.

Played it.

Hated it.

You can get killed because your shield decided to phase out of existence.

1 Year after my last Review:

Pros: Fast paced. REALLY fast paced

Cons:

Eats key inputs. You must not be in combat if you want to reliably have key inputs. Doesn't like the pro. EVEN with Thread-Sync (designed to prevent key based issues) it occurs.

Menu is SIGNIFICANTLY laggier than the game (which isn't laggy at all for me but the menu is quite bad)

1 year later STILL hates alt-tabbing

Camera can randomly lock up

Hits are client-sided. Cheat-friendly? Got a good AC? Oh well still HATES the pro considering you'll be jumping and be at the top of your jump when suddenly headshotted from the floor, oh and extreme lag is an ADVANTAGE as again, client-sided.

Strange imbalances. Extreme focus on Fletcher's stickies, which are instantly disabled by a long-lasting cloak by Phantom, who can absorb bullets long enough that Fletcher cannot react fast enough if the phantom has any shred of skill. Just an example

3 Games a day at 500 credits a game with 1 1000 credit game (the daily awards), it will take 25 DAYS over 3 weeks to unlock a new character (excluding cheaper 30,000 heroes of which there are 3)

Average of 200-400 credits a game without dailys

Recap:

Pros: None

Cons:
Client-sided
Occasional Imbalance
Lag/Default Windows Features Unsupported
Loss of Input
Extremely Slow Progression/Long Free Rotations

Edit:
Recently I bought thunder. I love the game now. Is it because you'd be hardpress to find someone who doesn't think he is currently unbalanced? Yes.

Also I've had some chat with closed beta people. And apparently the menu and alt-tab lag that is so infamous in Open Beta, is actually not new. Shocker that they haven't fixed it yet.

Finally I've run into some cheaters. Normal. And when I went to report them using the ingame system, I couldn't. The report menu kicks you out and deletes everything you said during any significant UI update. Furthermore, if you are idle for more than a few seconds, say writing a detailed cheater report, then a vote kick is started against you automatically, and if you are alone, instant ban. If you are not alone then the "Yes" mentality will take over and most people will automatically vote yes. Also I had the audacity to write this while a camera was panning making my entire computer lag terribly.
