There is a lot of hate surrounding Final Fantasy XIII but I honestly enjoyed it quite a bit. The most common complaints about the game is its linearity, but the truth is you actually get to explore quite a bit of open world once you get to the latter half of the game. For a game that came out in 2009, the game is extremely gorgeous and beautifully rendered. The combat leans towards being strategic rather than action since you can't manually control your character's movement, but it is fun in its own way. Also being a Final Fantasy title the music definitely did not disappoint.

My only gripe with the game is probably that the characters' personalities felt very weak and that it had a rather confusing story flow.

Overall, very decent game and would recommend. 7/10

I can't quite recommend the game from my first few hours of playing it. The game is extremely unforgiving for a new player who hasn't played Don't Starve as almost everything in the world insta-kills you the moment you step out of the safety zone. The resources run thin very easily the more people you have on multiplayer, making it feel bad for the newer players as you don't know where to collect certain resources to build/craft things which easily spirals into an inequality problem where the rich keeps getting richer while the poor remains poor. It also doesn't help that every time you die you drop every single one of your items, including your equipped ones. If you accidentally wander off into a monster nest and die there, well good luck getting your items back.

TL:DR game is very harsh to new players, but could be fun if it was better balanced. 4/10 would only recommend if you don't mind studying up guides before you even play the game.

When I saw the game on the Steam store, I was hit with nostalgia so I installed it to give it a spin after being away for so long. I'm glad that the game was exactly how I remembered it - absolutely garbage and full of paywalled content. It still has the same horrible player controls, outdated graphics and tedious repetitive content that I have forgotten about long ago. Thankfully this means that I won't be picking up another MMO to waste my life on since I'm already doing that with FFXIV and now Genshin Impact.

A sweet and short puzzle game about a man of culture trying to create a harem of demon girls. The puzzles are very fun, the music is very catchy and the demon girls are 100% waifu materials. 10/10 would recommend!

Deponia Doomsday is a great sequel to the Deponia trilogy! If you liked trilogy then this is a must-play. Great puzzles, great comedy and quality story telling as before.

A minor spoiler and a fair warning though: don't expect a happy ending. I think the aim of this sequel is more to explain why the trilogy ended the way it did, and why their journey was not meaningless.

I don't know what to say, but this whole game is a huge meme goldmine and it's amazing to think that this is published by the actual KFC. It's honestly not too bad(???) as a light novel, but would 100% recommend this game for the laughs. 10/10!

RWBY DG is a Dominion-style card game where you don't need to build a collection to actually play. Most of the purchases in the game seem to be just for cosmetics, though that being said I haven't been able to get the currency to unlock one of their game modes called Raids. Gameplay-wise, the game seems pretty nicely balanced - most of the cards are costed appropriately and the game allow players that are behind to come back, although luck plays a very big factor in whether you can come out ahead or not, as with most board games.

The major cons is that well, it's hard to collect any currency to purchase cosmetics without paying, which is all in all pretty fair, I suppose. One of the other minor ones are the UI for the game is not very good... when you open one menu it doesn't close the others so your game screen can become very cluttered quickly, and you have to press the button which opens the menu in the first place to close it, which can sometimes be confusing.

Overall, a decent casual card game which doesn't require time investment or money to play on the same level as those who have played longer. 7/10

I decided to try The Sims 3 because I was looking for a building/management game of sorts, but I ended up dropping it after the first hour and a bit. During that short hour, I have already crashed into a billion of paywalls, which is saying something. Oh, you want to start in a nice-looking map, or you want your character to wear this nice costume? Nope, you gotta pay up, buddy. While I'm not completely adverse to micro-transactions, there is a ridiculously minuscule amount of content I can access within the base game, which isn't exactly cheap.

Secondly, this is a personal preference of mine but my god, the character customisation feels so... bad, for the lack of better term. I usually love customising my characters to the point that they have to look exactly how I imagine it in my head. Most games I have played can usually come pretty close if not identical to my mental image, but every character I've made in this game ends up looking like a demented child with every bad genes imaginable.

The last thing that drove me off the edge is that everything takes centuries to load/render despite the fact that I just upgraded my computer earlier this year (most likely due to outdated, inefficient coding structure). While I may not speak for others, I absolutely despise lag while playing games.

0/10 avoid this game unless you enjoy playing a laggy game, bad character models or crashing into paywalls.

This is my first time playing Chrono Trigger and I absolutely loved it! The story, the music, the gameplay; they were all executed perfectly to create one absolutely amazing experience. I don't think anything I write about the game can capture just how good of a game it is tbh, but I hope that I can at least contribute to more people trying this game out.

The Story
Is about a group of people who accidentally discovered a mean of travelling through time, and then due to a series of events, ends up setting out on a journey to save the future from an impending disaster. From the initial setting, the characters' development, the buildup of the unbeatable adversary - I enjoyed all of it. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that Chrono Trigger has the best story out of all the games I have played so far.

Music/Soundtracks
Is just completely on point, for a lack of better term. Some of the soundtracks I wouldn't get tired listening to for hours. In fact, I've heard from a lot of people that they just enjoy listening to the game's soundtracks without even having played the game, and I can honestly see why.

Gameplay
I may be slightly biased as an aspiring game programmer, but my god the amount of effort put into the mechanics and the gameplay is just ridiculous. The combat is a timer turn-based system, but it honestly feels like real time considering how fast and intense the fights are later in the game. Each characters also have unique combination attacks they can do with other teammates (45 combination total, I think), so the fights are rarely ever a bore if you like experimenting combinations by switching party members. The gameplay element that amazes me most is actually how some of your actions in one timeline can actually affect the future timelines (sorry, spoiler if I say what they are ><) - it makes the game feel very "real".

Graphics
Not gonna lie, it was made in 1995 and doesn't have the most HD quality graphics out there. For me, I think it has its own charm and I can definitely appreciate how good it actually is for its time, considering what little they had to work with. You can definitely see a huuuge amount of unique sprite animations as you play the game, so if you like don't mind a little outdated graphics then it is definitely not going to be the game's shortcoming.

TL:DR
Chrono Trigger is a really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good game, a timeless masterpiece, a must-play! 11/10

This is my first Witcher game since I wanted to start the series off the original, but I just can't do it. It is supposed to be a story-driven game but after several hours in, I just can't find any appeal in its story-telling. Not to mention, the combat is just bad i.e. involves you just clicking away on enemies slowly as you wait for the animation to finish. If it gets better later on, honestly can someone please persuade me? At this rate I don't think I can finish the game.

Based off my several hours of playing, I'd rate it 4/10, worse than your average RPG.
