Big fan of this one. It's simple and straightforward, but has just enough challenge to keep it entertaining.

One of the best games of its general style. It has tight controls, and is challenging, but never really feels unfair.

At first the challenge comes from avoiding getting hit (obviously). as you progress, it becomes easier and easier not to get hit, but going faster becomes a bit of the fun, at which point you balance speed with caution.

The gameplay holds up very well over multiple runs, with boons of the gods ensuring runs are fairly unique, and the story and art direction are top notch.

Not a great port. If you're going to sell a game from decades ago for brand new prices, pick your changes wisely. They changed the art style to something that's lost all its charm. They've declined to update the menu systems for modern control schemes. And "partial controller support" is a slap in the face for this type of game.

If you're going to play a version of this game--and you should play a version of this game--don't let this be the one.

I was unable to play this game. Despite having no network/connectivity issues, the title screen got stuck at "Connecting" and never proceeded past that.

Who can argue with rockets on cars in a sports arena?
