Well that was something.

Finished all three campaigns in 6 hours, played Marine, (basic shooter, its okay, never been my favorite in these games, and this one is honestly the weakest one. How the ♥♥♥♥ are you going to nerf the pulse rife this hard???) Alien, (usually not super into these ones, but they actually really fun, if janky, stealth sections,) and then MY BOY, The Predator, who is the still the most fun, if not super ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ easy.

I mean, honestly this game suffers from a fine layer of unexplained jank. Odd control choices, REALLY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ long animations, especially when you're stuck in an execution animation as the Predator with 33 Xenomorphs up your ass, and it's really really short.

Nothing worth noting ever gets fleshed out and it kind of just leaves you unsatisfied. I picked this up on Alien Day in a deep deep sale, and that's the only way I recommend you try this game out. Even if you're a hardcore Alien or Predator fan, it honestly still isn't worth anything NEAR full price.

But now I want to go watch the Predator movies again, so thanks?

I have no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clue how anyone finished this game with an N64 controller, but if you love DOOM, you'll have a great time with this one too.

So Resident Evil 3 is was the only mainline RE game I never beat as a kid. I don't even remember why, but I just never beat it. I finished every other one since, so I was very excited when this was confirmed to be coming out so soon after the incredible RE2 Remake.

Having only finished the campaign once, (I'll most likely play through again on a higher difficulty soon,) I can safely say that this remake is pretty on par with the original RE 3. Which is good and also kinda bad.

So for anyone that doesn't know, the original RE3 was basically an asset flip because of how quickly CAPCOM was demanding a sequel after the major success of RE2 in 1998, RE3 coming out in 1999, Because of this, a lot of the content had to be scaled back, parts were bloated to increase the runtime, etc.

The game has it's fans and sold very well, but my main problem with this is: why the ♥♥♥♥ would CAPCOM do the same thing twice?
What could have been the definitive Resident Evil 3 experience ends up being a fairly straightforward retread of the original. Which, if you couldn't tell by my play time, does not make for a very long game. Which is fine, I just wish Capcom had left this in the oven another year and really made something groundbreaking like their previous efforts.

2 major complaints I want address though:

-Nemesis isn't very scary at all. There are one, maybe two times in the whole game where him chasing you isn't scripted, once you realize this, he really isn't much of a threat. With all the hype Capcom put on the this guy being the Mr. X 2.0, it just blows that he's not that at all except for a few shining moments in the early game. Oh, and I'm not sure what they were talking about him being able to chase you into saferooms, but I never had this happen to me once. Maybe it's on a higher difficulty and I'm talking out of my ass. Moving on,

-People saying this game is very action orientated: no ♥♥♥♥, that was what the original was like too. I don't know why people keep saying this about the remake, but frankly a stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ complaint if you know literally anything about the original.

Overall, if you're a hardcore RE fan, you've probably already bought this honestly. But I really can't recommend this game to anyone other than them. You probably won't get a lot out of it, and the 60$ price point is really ♥♥♥♥♥♥' steep for a game you can finish in an afternoon. RE Resistance is fun and nice added bonus for picking up the game, but it suffers from a lot of problem Dead By Daylight suffered from (Looking at you hosts with 9000000 McDonalds Wifi ping,) and frankly it can turn into a bit of broken cluster ♥♥♥♥ at times.

I do want to be clear, I did enjoy this game a lot, and I'm glad I finally got to finish it, but I also can't help but feel disappointed from the very rushed feeling experience. I don't know, maybe that's just Resident Evil 3 in a nutshell and I'm just missing the point, but after finishing the game, I felt like I only ate half my dinner and was still hungry for more.

I finished this game a total of 4 times, (3 on PS4,) and I'm starting my first Hardcore play through. If you are even remotely a fan of old school Resident Evil games, or survival horror in general, you seriously owe it to yourself to play this game, because ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this is how you do a remake right.

Just finished the game and I have to say I really enjoyed it. This isn't the first time I've played through Half-Life, but it is the first time finishing it. I really appreciated all the effort Crowbar Collective put into re-creating HL1, and even fleshing out parts there were more directly addressed in Half-Life 2, like the Vortagons. The updated Xen levels are also downright gorgeous and, although confusing, are honestly a huge improvement over the original HL1.

Before I get to the negatives, here's a few things I really loved:

The dialogue: It's really well written and fun, especially when you get to the Marines.

The enemies: updated attack patterns for the Vortagons and the other aliens seem jarring at first, but honestly by the end of the game I had adjusted and really enjoyed the update. It keeps HL1 veterans from being complacent and making things too easy.

The Long Jump: Holy ♥♥♥♥ thank you for mapping this to double tapping the space bar.

All the little details: I really love all the extra effort that went into world building. From additional dialogue, to little details in the environment, it was really cool to see all the little bits being fleshed out and even making some of the more boring parts of the game (looking at you trash compactor section,) from being total retreads. Favorite has to be when you kill headcrab infected scientists in Xen who are wearing the HEV suit, and they make the same flat-lining death noise you hear when you die. It's just some cool ♥♥♥♥.

Where I really enjoyed the game I do have some criticism/feedback for the dev team over something changes I wasn't a fan of:

-The revolver: First, it was strange they decided to make this former powerhouse the second weapon you find in Black Mesa, but if you played the original and remember how stupid strong this weapon was, you're going to notice immediately why: it lacks basically all punch it had. On top of that, it takes forever to reload and you get a maximum of 18 rounds plus 6 in the chamber. Honestly this is something I noticed across the board when it came to the weapons: They all seem quite a bit weaker than I remember them being and a many of them take a considerable amount of time to reload. I obviously made it work, and its not a huge dig, just something I noticed and was kind of bummed out about is all.

Xen Levels: Okay, you've probably heard this one a bunch of times by now, and as much as I love all the changes that were made; these just go on FOREVER. There's honestly 3 different times it feels like you're about to fight the final boss, only for another conveyer belt or elevator section to happen and go on and on and on. Honestly just cut about an hour from this section and I feel like it would play a lot better.

I really had a great time playing though Half-Life 1 again, created though a new lens. The dev team honestly has nothing but love for the source (hehehe) material, and despite some minor annoyances, I'd easily recommend to any fan of the original. When it comes to new fans who haven't played HL1 before though, you'll still have a lot of fun with this, but I doubt you'll get the same enjoyment out of this if you haven't played the original or even the source version.

Honestly after seeing this effort from the Devs, I'd love to see them tackle Blue Shift, Opposing Force, or ♥♥♥♥, even Half-Life 2. Great work guys and gals at Crowbar Collective ^_^

So first I'm going to state the obvious: if you like FPS games, especially old school FPS games, pick Ion Fury up right now.

I wasn't really a fan of the Duke Nukem games back when I was a kid or even now, just something never clicked there with me I guess, but the Build Engine and Ion Fury sure made me want to give Duke 3D another go. Played though the main story and had an absolute blast. Lots of fun enemies and weapons to blow them away with.

Only negative thing I can really say about it is some of the hit boxes feel off, and I suspect that has to do with the Build Engine and how the weapons handle in general. First couple of levels kind of suck because you don't have any ammo, especially on the higher difficulties. But other than that this is for sure a solid FPS experience,

Picked this game up on sale, played it a long time ago on the 360 and never got to finish, but I'm glad I finally did.

The core gameplay loop is a lot of fun, very similar to a 3rd person DOOM (2016) in a lot of regards, and the story is a lot of fun and easy to follow even for people who aren't hardcore into Warhammer 40K lore.

The mulitplayer is dope as hell too. 7/10, fun with some annoying flaws (the main way to recover health is an execution move, similar again to DOOM, but unlike DOOM you don't get I-frames while you do the executions, so if you're desperate for health and there a ton of people around you, you're totally screwed.)

I see this game pop up on so many "worst games of all time" lists, and it bugs the ♥♥♥♥ out of me because this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid and a lot of fun, so I decided to update my review I wrote when I was like, 15 man.

This game isn't groundbreaking, the shooting is janky, the protagonists are ♥♥♥♥♥, and the camera effects can really get on your nerves. But I can honestly say to this day I've never played a shooter like Dog Days. It's a game that took a lot of risks, most of which didn't pay off, but what IO Interactive made was an unique experience wrapped up in some questionable game mechanics.

This game still holds the top spot on my top "♥♥♥♥ you, I like it" games list. It's got it's fair share of problems sure, but I can't help but having a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ blast every single time I play through this game.

I'm begging you, give this game a chance. Get it on sale, grab a friend and just have fun with it.
