If I had to pick a desert island game - it would be this one.

Entertained me personally for about 1000 hours - now it's free.

If you like excellent shooting mechanics and PVE with your mates it's absolutely worth trying out.
PVP is a bit more hit or miss - it's like a faster paced but less balanced halo.

Fun, free, and promising.

There's a bit of clunk that needs ironing out both in and out of game, but I'd say it's well worth the download at this point.

If you're someone that wants halo on pc now and just can't wait, you're likely to be satisfied giving this a go.

Early Access Review
It's a little rough around the edges.

But it runs excellently, and the core gameplay and fundamentals are very strong. Classes, abilites, and crafting I think are fantastic in this genre. You can modify how you play each match from the get go, and the crafting system means you can be "done" with looting quite quickly, and focus on the action!
The game has a very low TTK and big hitboxes so fights are very quick, which reduces the likelihood of shot in the back while looting in my experience (though this can still happen, like with any BR). Additionally, each character has a bunch of utlity in their abilities, so outplay potential is huge. This also adds true verticality to the fights in terms of character mobility rather than through building, a welcome change after playing a lot of Fortnite.

There are some balance issues, the Bow and Axe currently do too much damage, and are far too easy to hit (even in the context of this game). The Heirloom Rifle currently outclasses most other options, and the sound in general is utterly terrible.

But there's a patch coming out very soon that addresses nearly all of those issues and more. Considering the game's been out only a week at this point the devs are setting a very good example.

TLDR: The game has strong fundamentals and runs well, and the issues that it has can and are being patched. Well worth a try if you want a change from current Battle Royale offerings.
