my honest review and suggestions

i have played 2 hours so far on day one and still on it, game runs really smooth (at least for me) so that's good. it already looks a thousand times better than strayed, has more than enough content for day one and is actually really fun to play. i've build a base, put down sleeping bags, crafted workbench 1 and so on. if you played rust then you'll be very familiar with it.
BUT, it also has a few flaws.. my issues during these two hours were :

when farming wood piles or ores (i didnt get to dome so i dont know about trees yet) it has a really clunky hitbox, making it really hard to farm them. i've spent more time trying to farm than actually farm.

when climbing ladders, it also has a really weird hitbox in comparison to other VR titles, making it hard to climb on top of roofs.

I had noticable lags and fps drops when nearing my base, inside my base or in a monument. i only built a 2x1 so making bigger bases must for sure cause a lot more lag.

when destroying barrels, components fall to the ground. sometimes they cant be picked up and you must literally crouch irl to get the hitbox to appear when close to the floor.

its also really annoying that the hitbox for picking up stuff is so small, making it hard to pick up stuff from the ground in general. could be a little bigger to not make it so difficult.

health ui? thats the worst one. i have to put my hand in front of me 10 times to make my health ui to appear. its really really annoying, cant imagine it in stressful situations. please make something like strayed or ghost of tabor, where you can see your health ui on your left arm when you turn it or something, so we dont have to see it all the time but when i turn my hand i can instantly see it instead of me wiggling my hand infront of my eyes.

hunger is really nasty, it goes down by seconds, so you dont have to worry about oxygen but also hunger at all times. idk if im just in the naked phase still and this will be eliminated when killing animals, but as someone who joined server 2 hours ago, im dying constantly just of hunger.

other than that, really fun game, seems to have a large player base on day one already, plays well except the things mentioned, looks really good, and makes me want to play it more to explore everything.
i havent had my VR headset on for this long in a long time. so its good.

worth buying even now. i had fun.
