Rust but with vikings

I was never really a fan of Metroidvania games and I'm sure there may be better Metroidvania games out there but this game really made an impression. I can not recommend this game enough. If you've been a fan of souls games then this game is equally enjoyable. I will definitely be trying out more Metroidvania, Souls-like, Platformer games.

The game itself is quite mysterious. It never tells you which way to go or what to do but that's because all ways are the right way. You could reach the same destination using a couple different routes. The map design is phenomenal. The areas you visit will have it's own distinct style and enemies which keeps the game fresh. The bosses are brutal but amazing. And to bring it all together, the NPCs in this game have their own little lives and you may come across them more than once which just makes the game feel alive.

The game might not be for everyone but I'd still recommend it to everyone. 10/10

Not as scary as people make it out to be

Respawn really outdid themselves. I knew Titanfall 2 was good, but I wasn't expecting this. Good visuals AND good story? If someone told me EA published it, I would've laughed at them but damn this was really unexpected.

I've been a light fan of rogue-likes but after playing this several of hours, I can definitely see why this game deserves Game of the Year.

10/10 Highly Recommend

Definitely worth looking into if you're looking to sit back in your couch and play with some friends.

Still recommend in 2024. Expeditions are the best addition to the game imo
