The game is completely different now then when the alpha first launched. It's very enjoyable now. Titan Forge by building the game from ground up have allowed themselves to clean up the game and being on UE5 the hotfixes for bugs seem to come out as quickly as possible. I'm still waiting for Gilgamesh and Morgan Le Fey to be added back but being the pool of gods is smaller at the moment with 45 it's a lot easier to jump in to learn the gods.

The only downside I have at the moment is the lack of god builder for items and the item store UI. That seems to have been a step back from smite 1 but it sounds like that is on the board for changing in the near future.

Frankly now that it's free to play, I would recommend giving this a shot. Just don't approach it with a doomer mindset - that only hurts yourself and the game, have some cautious optimism :)

Oh boy I love playing an always online game that has no right being always online. I love waiting three minutes on the main menu just to load into a heist and i love waiting another three minutes trying to do a heist solo!!!!!!

Truly one of the best games of all time. Much like other persona games, it does so well building an environment that you truly feel immersed in. Wonderful music, wonderful interactions, an amazing story (with multiple endings depending how you answer prompts and raise your s. links.) I cannot recommend the game enough.

It's so hard for me to recommend this game, as much as I enjoyed the campaign. This lack of content makes the game feel so boring to play, we only had slayer for a month or so until they added individual playlists. The sandbox is not as good as other games, and frankly, we still don't have forge, co-op campaign, barely any maps. The gameplay is nice but at this point, just play MCC. There you will at least have 6 games that are complete and fully fleshed out and not this where we have a 6 month season with content drip fed, and no guarantee we'll get said features during the season. It should've been delayed another year, they say it's a live service game, but there is no live service. It breaks my heart to see one of my favorite franchises go down this way.

I love how fun this game is, titanfall but retro shooter as well. It's a perfect recipe. The games levels are laid out like original doom, you have mini objectives with getting kills and picking up meat but nothing like a full collectible, hopefully that comes in the future. Even have some secret levels which is always nice. Honestly my only gripe about the game is that there are no achievements. But i can look past that given still in early access, and if you can't/don't want to justify the 12 dollars. Try the demo, its a full demo of the first episode about 25 minutes of content but no cut corners from the actual game.

Oh man, talk about a step up from the original Bright Memory. Loved the first one, and got blown away with this one on how well this is put together. So many cool new mechanics and a deeper progression. I am very glad I took the chance on the original and get to see the progression through Infinite. If you want a better description of the gameplay, the best I can say is Devil may cry, FPS and toned down movement from Titanfall 2.

I really enjoy this game, always a fan of third person shooters. Played plenty of hours on epic and now that it is on steam all the better. Also it doesn't take ages to load up like the other Hi-Rez games!(i'm looking at you smite and paladins). Matchmaking still has some stuff to work out to better queue with people but overall for a free game it is high quality and definitely worth to try it for a bit.

Genuinely a fun game, consistent updates with new champions, the card system and character talents just add so much more depth to what could be perceived as just another hero shooter, but the truth is, it's actually quite fun, aside from the toxicity, don't be afraid to mute in game chat, also buy cauterize pls.
