Very cool game with some very cool touches. There's some very cool and absurd things in this game. I personally enjoy the idea of traversing endless pools in deafening silence, it's strangely relaxing. The audio design is wonderful too.

Throughout towards the end of the game things regrettably started to become more and more linear and sometimes it felt like it was diverting from the concept. I would have loved some more wacky and brain-breaking mechanics. The ending felt rather unsatisfying as well.

Would have loved to spent some more time wandering aimlessly and experience more of the ambiance and visuals. Though I suppose I have some more time for that to obtain the leftover achievements. Happy to support the development by purchasing this game. I even bought it for someone else as well.

Although this game can sometimes really bolt you over (if you know what I'm saying), I find myself thoroughly charmed by it. The art is stunning, new content stays in theme and style and there's plenty of hours that can be spent playing this game. I have not yet finished it yet, but I'm definitely going to. Even though this game can me rather challenging!

Ori and the Blind Forest is a very, very beautiful game.
The balance between needed practice (which the game offer areas for) for new skills and well designed mechanics are one of the best of the games I've played. Even if you venture in areas you weren't supposed to go yet and made a safepoint, you won't find yourself between a rock and a hard place; the level design will allow you to go back to the previous area if you haven't accuired the appropriate skill yet.
The story is intriguing with a strong and emotional start and a satisfying ending. There's a nice balance between collecting, backtracking for upgrades and following the story. There are quite a lot of hours that can be spent in game, even more so if you're a bit of a completionist and I have found no bugs, glitches or errors.
The game allows you to save whenever you want (unless you're on unstable ground or in the ending of an area) but doesn't give you enough slots to misuse them, so spend them wisely!
The visuals are phenomenal, very charming although sometimes I got a little confused as to what was in the background, in the playing field or in front of it, but this happened just two or three times.

All in all, a very beautiful game, very challenging but in the best way. 10/10, will absolutely play again!
Edit: And I did play it again! I have not changed my mind.

Lots and lots of fun for lots and lots of hours! :) And surprisingly challenging at times. Maybe even infuriating at times. Truly a game I love to hate.
