Game makes me sad in the best kind of way.

A fantastic sequel that lived up to its very high expectations

My introduction to Mullins' games, loved it. Fun puzzles with a lot of personality.

Its strongest aspects are its artstyle and atmosphere. Overall it's pretty fun and worth a playthrough, but it misses a lot of potential.

Some sections can be confusing to traverse in, and some features aren't introduced well enough which might get you stuck for a bit. As others mentioned there's a lot of backtracking in the later parts of the game that get annoying.

There's only 3 enemy types plus a turret throughout the whole game, and I think there was missed potential by not introducing an enemy that really threatened or spooked the player. There's a leviathan reef base section for Christ's sake, should've been a big ass fish trying to eat me.

None of the enemies are much of a challenge, but the game doesn't make you feel super powerful as the monster either. I think it would've benefited from a limited save system or some kind of resource management to increase difficulty and make losing biomass have more of an impact.

It's a crime that this game isn't discussed more. A fluid platformer with a somber atmosphere and romantic story.

Beautiful artstyle and music. Loved every minute of it.
