Right. Let's get into this. Two hours in so far, and yes, lag is a problem. Yes, there is stuttering. Yes, my specs should be running this game very well, but they don't. BUT, so far, this has changed nothing for me. I might be very different from people in that sometimes I don't mind poor performance if it is a really good game. I enjoy the game, I think it is a fantastic Space-Exploration-Survival game, which has had me fascinated so far. The way the procedural generation works is simply amazing, and so far my planets have been truly wonderful. It is not, as some reviewers and people have said, extremely challenging and annoying to deal with the life support systems. Some people might be less patient than me, but I find the life support systems to be just fine, recharging every 5 minutes really does not make me go nuts. HOWEVER, there is work to be done. No matter how much I may enjoy the game (and I really, really do) the performance issues HAVE to be fixed. This game was marketed for the PS4 and PC and therefore should deliver for BOTH. Before critisizing too much however, I understand the launch issues, as Sean Murray and his indie team are trying to deliver a AAA experience with a tiny team. For the size of their team (which I have heard is getting bigger in order to fix and expand the game), I think what they have accomplished is superb. Finally, before I delve into this massive universe some more, this game is definitely niche. You have to like grinding, long walks and exploration, occasionally annoying pop-ups, and fairly annoying controls. With that being said though, it is, in my opinion, a fantastic and relaxing game, and entirely delivers upon the promises it made. I cannot wait until new updates come out with more content like building, and I am sure Sean Murray will try his utter best, as he already has, to deliver the best experience possible. In conclusion, yes the performance is bad, yes, the game needs some gameplay tweaks, but in no way is it a bad game for the genre it is aimed at. The problems that are there now will be worked on, and I am confident they will be fixed soon as well. If you can't handle performance problems at all but love the concept and idea of this game, then just wait a while until things smooth over. All I can say is that once they are, it will just be that much more enjoyable to observe the strange foreign creatures and landscapes that this game places you with.

I am by no means an expert on games or gaming, but I do enjoy this game thoroughly and it has already brought me some great memorable moments. Fly on!
