Early Access Review
Very good title, pretty much everything I wanted in a Tavern Simulator sans the constant running around for resources. But it's a great game. Only reason I am not playing it more is because I do not want to keep resetting my progress every time there is an update. But I do look forward to 1.0 release.

Broken hit detection but Bungie is too busy stealing from artists to fix.

Pros: Great storyline, good gameplay, lots of content to keep you busy. Highly versatile and interactive elements. Lots of ways to customize yourself and become a pseudo-god. Easy to spend tons of hours in it. New content that is delivered makes for a fun time, almost every time.

Cons: Repetitive gameplay and events. Can be very grindy. Lots of their older content does not get updated unless there are "reworks." While good in some aspect, DE has flopped hard in recent times. They had to inflate the numbers of their own most recent event to save face. This event had the same infrastructure as the last one, yet they botched it even worse somehow.

Basic quality of life stuff is not there (like half your screen being taken up by character cosmetics, highly limited FOV, and sometimes your character gets animation locked and your only fixes are either hope you die, it fixes itself, or you quit.) Their idea of balance for later game content is a flawed concept called damage attenuation, which simply means if you do too much damage in a short period, they artificially nerf you to make you do minimal damage.

Until DE can take care of at least 1 of the 4 above cons, my review will be negative. DE, from a veteran player from the Dark Sector game days, this game has been around for 12 years. New content is great, but if the base game and/or it's mechanics are poor, all you're doing is putting lipstick on a pig.

Do better. Don't get Dark Sector syndrome and overpromise. Listen to your damn community for once.

Used to be good when it came out, then they forgot how to balance the game, maps, and classes. Only good thing to come out was Quality of Life tweaks such as syringe consistency. I will not be buying KF3 if this is how they'll be treating the game. I'd rather go back to wonky KF1, only reason to play now is for the challenges.

Edit 1: Looks like TWI failed to learn from their community, past, etc. Now they made a mainstream shooter so bad that it may as well be called KF:COD edition.

Nearly 1000 hours in, game is excellent. Has its ups and downs like any other but it's an immensely fun and repeatable formula. It can feel a little grindy for resources at times, but there are so many ways to enjoy and play.

Also you're playing as a Dwarf. What's not to love?

Pros: Creative idea, interactive, good puzzle solving idea. Decent execution of concept, but not much else.

Cons: Inconsistent physics and gameplay, some bugs (why is the cutter catching things on fire that aren't even near it), missing standard QoL features such as skipping dialogue or mini/quicksaves. Boring story.

Very resource intensive, even on lowest settings and FPS limited (afaik) to 60 fps, causes my PC to spike to 90C (I have a i7-9750H and RTX 2070M). Devs refuse to touch it further, kind of feel like this was a cash grab. Would refund if I could.

Overall: 4/10. Not recommended other than if you wanna just kill time.

Fun until you encounter levels where it's complete RNG if you win or lose, mainly the cash grab. While it's understandable to have it to balance a game, when a developer uses it to artificially inflate replayability and difficulty, it's trash.

4/10, would get a refund if possible.

Starts a bit complex but is easy to pick up. Can get very intense, very quickly, and is a fun game to manage your resources around. Side note, although it may be considered cheating, I suggest you download an autoclicker program if you value your wrist. There is an input limiter to avoid people cheesing their way through clicking on buildings, so don't worry about making it an unfair advantage.

I wish it had DLC or something else besides Rock Hard mode. It's a fun challenge but I was hoping for something a bit different. Other than that, great game!

Initially showed promise, and was treated poorly. Had so much potential, and due to at least AAA developer deciding to be a passive-aggressive immature person, this game doesn't deserve attention. Many people have sunk lots of time into this but unfortunately, I do not recommend you buy this. It is massively unfinished and buggy, and you'll be giving away money for no reason to people who do not deserve it.

Edit: 5/6/24 - Game has been steadily receiving updates and they seem to be well received. I have not played it again as of yet, but I have downloaded it once more and am eager and hopeful to see it flourish into something viable. Changing review to positive to encourage change.
