I have been using the Playtest version for 9 months now and Retroarch is fantastic. Be sure to download the DLC cores (they're free along with everything else) and make an account at https://retroachievements.org/ to track your progress and earn points in games.

The gold standard to which all other idle games must be compared.

Broken Reality is a great 3d exploration game. It could be considered a Metroidvania without the combat, since most of what you're doing is trying to get to new places using the tools you're given. Its theming and writing are both excellent. You explore a space based on the early internet and interact with ridiculous characters and solving problems or completing quests for them.

I enjoyed this game greatly but there is a game-breaking bug more than halfway. If I didn't happen to have a hard save before this I would have had to start over from the beginning. If you get to a point where you are asked to find two mix tapes, I believe you must return the first mix tape before collecting the second, otherwise you cannot turn in the second mix tape and cannot progress further. I hope this helps someone!
Don't let this discourage you from giving this one a shot!

A fantastic game that was right up my alley from the very start. The exploration reminds me of Metroid Prime, but the puzzles seem more reminiscent of Portal (so the dev's description is definitely telling the truth). Lots of upgrades and coins to collect and monsters to defeat. Some of the upgrades feel game breaking in a fun and sometimes ridiculous way, but altogether it feels cohesive and anything "broken" is intentional. I would highly recommend this game.

A "Symphony of the Night" style game from the creator of the original. Steal enemies powers to progress and defeat stronger foes. Smooth gameplay highly reminiscent of the original.
