I highly recommend this game, but you can get Episode 1 for cheap (especially during sales) and see what this game is all about for yourself.

If you are interested in space exploration Kerbal Space Program is a great tool to learn about physics, orbital mechanics, maneuvering and many many other things.

It is actively developed, has tons of mods and a vibrant friendly community.

It has quite a bit of a learning curve and you will fail a lot at first but if you would like to try building rockets or planes or space stations, landing on moons and asteroids, sending rovers to do scientific experiments on distant planets I highly recommend this game to you.
