I haven't had so much fun with a game before than when I played this for the first time, I'm pretty sure I spent the first ten hours of the game on the first open level alone. 😭
Genuinely the most immersive game I've ever played, the combat, exploration and overall feel and vibe of the game is VERY good.
Feels like you're actually there.
There's also a bit of replay value too, with modifiers in new game+ to mix up the gameplay just that tiny bit more.

Now is the dlc worth it?
If you're looking for more context and story for the end of the game, sure, both dlcs take place either a few months before or right after the base game.
I'd recommend you buy the gold edition when it's on sale if you're into that, very expensive otherwise. (was on sale for like 4 euros when I got it)

Overall 10/10 from me, absolutely cherished this masterpiece from start to finish.

This game was a joy to play from start to finish, in terms of scariness, horror and overall setting this game rivals the original. Only real problem I had with it was that sometimes the gameplay was a little bit jank or something just didn't work, like an axe just phasing through a door I'm supposed to break down, getting me killed in the process.
Other than that it was great, if you liked the original it's worth playing this one aswell.

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish.
The way everything is portrayed and has deeper meaning is cool as heck, that and seeing Simon's mental health deteriorate over the course of the game really hits hard to be honest.
The game is scary as hell too, seriously giving me a level of fear that i haven't experienced in a while.

Imagine an overly difficult, tedious and annoying game with some redneck robot telling half-ass jokes every 10 seconds.
Gameplay is horrible qwq
Most if not all the enemies are just glorified antlions with 10 bajillion health points
Also just feels soulless and uninspired.
Get this with the gold edition vro, do NOT get this seperately. This crap aint even worth a buck

I was excited to replay this game after a long time of not having beat it, i download it and boot it up, just to have it crash immediately. I have no clue why this happens and I'd love to figure it out so i can beat this game. (Im on windows 11 so this game might just crash of old systems and stuff windows 11 despises.)

It sure does give you everything it says, but it's too bad you can't get this without buying the game.
