Probably the best Atlus game that I've played so far. If you've played any of their games previously-- particularly the Persona series-- then the mechanics of this game will feel very familiar but with more polish. The change in setting allowed them to sidestep some of the more irritating tropes frequently featured in Persona game. I also felt that Atlus improved the writing of your companions, who had fleshed out and distinct personalities and motivations. If you enjoy the Persona games, you will like this game too; if you've never played this type of JRPG before, then Metaphor is an excellent entry point into the genre.

Welcome back to the wacky, Lovecraftian, steampunk world of Fallen London. If you've played Sunless Seas (or even the browser game Fallen London), you'll have a pretty good idea about what you'll be getting here. Skies is a worthy successor to Seas, continuing with the same thematic tone and basic gameplay design but improved across the board. It's dark world and unusual cast of characters remains the most compelling part of this entry into the world of Fallen London.

The new map layout (4 smaller maps with the main port in the center and the dangerous areas further to the edges) is a significant QoL improvement over Sea's massive left-to-right map design. Skies also introduces more flexibility in difficulty, allowing players to alter various mechanics (how fast you consume supplies, how well enemies will aim, whether dying causes you to start a new captain or if you can reload).

Like Seas, however, Skies still can get tedious once a map has been mostly explored and your captain is simply going between ports to earn money/complete basic quests. The ability to move onto a new map via the transit relays and start exploring again helps, but there will still be moments of tedium as you gather necessary supplies and hunt for better deals across the various ports.

Overall, a solid 8/10.

Overall, a very solid ARPG with beautiful graphical design, plenty of loot diversity, and decent replayability. It's strongest attribute is the variety of build types, allowing for very different play styles on different runs. Like almost all RPGs of this style, the story is lacking but I doubt most players buy a hack-and-slash for narrative depth. Overall, a solid 8/10.

Third in the series and if you liked the first two then you'll probably enjoy this one too. I think this is the weakest link from a story perspective but it expands on the lore of the universe. Sorta sad that the initial premise of the game didn't last the whole way through because it would have made an interesting change to the series.

This is a fun little free game where the enjoyment comes from the narration not the gameplay. Spiritually similar to the Stanley Parable but with less player freedom. The narrator is amusing if not laugh-out-loud funny, and there are a variety of cassette tapes you can listen to for additional humorous narration.

Only issue I had with it is that the achievements are bugged. I had to disable steam overlay and complete one achievement at a time to get them to register. However, the game is so short (probably 10-15 minutes to do a single run through) that the repetition wasn't too annoying. Also, free! So what do you have to lose?

This is a great game that is worth it even at full-priced and a must-buy when discounted. It is the kind of open-sandbox RPG that you always hope for when buying a new game but rarely ever actually receive. Larian created a world that truly allows players to implement whatever crazy idea they dream up-- in or out of combat. 10/10

Pros:
+ Great story (with a lot of dark humor!)
+ Beautiful graphics/soundtrack
+ Good voice acting
+ Interesting combat system which allows for considerable customization
+ High replay value (as single player or in co-op mode)
+ Great, customer-oriented developer that doesn't try to milk their buyers for every penny.
+ Still being improved by the developer including integrating popular fan-made mods into the game

Cons:
- will consume a large portion of your free time

This is a visually stunning platformer with a surprisingly touching story. Expect to get emotionally punched in the gut within minutes of starting this game.

Pros:
+ Beautiful graphics. Seriously, this is one of the most beautiful games I've ever played.
+ Nice soundtrack
+ Decently challenging
+ Surprisingly well-done story considering the type of game this is

Cons:
- Occasional sections of the game feel like the player relies more luck than skill. Possibly due to the controls being a little clunky (I played with mouse and keyboard; not sure if you can play with a controller but if so that might make certain control issues easier)
-Requires a fair amount of backtracking to get all collectibles. If you are an avid collector who loves 100% completion runs this might prove frustrating as you can't access a number of areas until you unlock certain skills. Not a big deal but might bother some players.

Overall, if you like platforming games even a little, this is a solid buy. The story is more thought out than many of the genre, the graphics are stunning, the music is lovely, and the characters--despite having few to no lines of dialogue--are astonishingly vivid.
