Divinity: Original Sin is a refreshing throwback to the great RPGs of the old like Baldur's Gate or Ultima. Be warned: this game does not hold your hand, guiding you as to where to go next. Rather, it gives you the entire world to explore and discover. You may find yourself in the middle of an higher-level area, hopelessly outgunned, as you explore and cannot proceed until you build your characters up. This may not appeal to everyone, but it appealed incredibly to me. I've delved over 20 hours into this game as of this review, and I'm barely into the first act of the main story.

Presentation-wise, the visuals are aesthetically pleasing in an old-school way, and the music is fantastic. The voice acting is limited and somewhat repetitive, but you have the option to turn this off should you wish to do so.

As for cons to this game, I found the character creation to be somewhat limited, and the inventory management system is a bit cumbersome. There are hundreds of items you can pick up, and organizing this can be a chore.

If you're looking for a game that challenges and demands you, then I highly recommend picking this title up.
